POKÉMON COSMIC
Prologue
It's the year 3052...
And Earth is dying, pollution, destruction, and exhaustion of its natural resources finally destroying its core.
Under the name Operation United Escape, the leaders of the world unite under a common goal and provide enough pooled resources to build several huge LCV's (Life-Carrying Vessels) to carry all human life from the planet. Several Pokémon were also brought along, but the rest were left on earth, the people of Earth hoping against hope that Pokémon thrived on other planets. The operation lasted about a year, and then the spaceships took off into the galaxy using the newly developed Warp Adaptors. The machines were a sort of gear shift for ships that tapped into the power of Warp Space; a place in reality that is ravaged by time, space and other phenomenon. The Warp flows at a near-infinite pace, and so only by tapping into that power will any vessel be able to reach its speed, hence the need for Warp Adaptors.
When the ships dropped out of Warp Space, they found themselves staring at the great expanse of space. Moving forward, new planets were discovered, and humanity spread across the galaxy as time passed. The races grouped themselves; the Medieval Faction also known as the Ancient World Faction, The Russian-dominated Romanov Union, the Europa federation and The Modern alliance.
A thousand years later, a very large part of the galaxy has been explored, leaving out the distant corners, Pokémon have been found to live on other planets and in space too, and most importantly of all, Humanity and Civilization have thrived. But as there is Civilization, there must be conflict...
