Exclusive Interview by Melody Arakawa featuring Phantom Thief Dark!

Melody: Good evening! I am here tonight with our special guest, Phantom Thief Dark! How do you feel tonight, Mr. Dark?

Dark: I'm feeling eager for this to start!

M: All right, let's get right into it, then! As it is known, you are an infamous art thief, known for being able to break into any museum and get past any security to steal artwork. Mr. Dark, why do you steal art?

D: Please, just call me Dark. I am an art thief, but I don't steal just any art. If you observe closely, you will notice that the Hikari clan made all of the art I steal. The reason I steal the art is that if the art was created with strong feelings, those feelings can cause the art to become malevolent or cause trouble. So I steal it in order to seal away their power.

M: Have you ever been captured?

D: No, I've never been captured. With the advancements in technology, it's been harder to adjust to the changes- remember, I may look 17, but I'm really centuries old-and so, since joining Daisuke, I've had quite a few close calls.

M: What do you think of Satoshi Hiwatari? Do you truly hate him?

D: Commander Hiwatari…he's cold, and calculating, not to mention he's a cross-dressing creep. I can't really say that I hate him, though, because of how he is toward Daisuke. He really doesn't want to harm Daisuke…so, if you ignore the fact that he does want to capture and harm me, he's not as much of a jerk as he seems.

M: How would you describe the relationship between you and Daisuke?

D: I think that, even though we often don't see eye-to-eye, we can get along pretty well. I can't speak for him, of course, but I'm sure he finds me annoying at times…especially when I start to feel restless and mischievous. But can you really blame me? When I'm not out stealing art, I don't have much to do. Daisuke is a good kid, and does what he thinks is right. His intentions are pure, but he is an adolescent, so I like to tease him about being "innocent".

M: And I'm sure he appreciates that…

D: He should, if you ask me. I've helped him a rather lot of times when I didn't have to, out of the goodness of my heart…I'm so considerate!

M: Ok, let's keep going…Where do you get all of your gadgets from?

D: Ah, yes…these lovely toys. I get them from Kosuke, Daisuke's dad. I really enjoy listening to his stories…Did you know he's been all around the world? He likes to collect rare objects, and anything he finds intriguing, so he has many devices that he lets me use for my missions.

M: All right, final question. When you first found out about this interview, what were your thoughts?

D: Eheh…It's kinda embarrassing, but my first thought was, "Daisuke, what has your mom gotten us into now?" But then I decided to go along with it, since I hadn't been out in a while and I wanted to harass Daisuke. Also, I was hyped because I've never been interviewed before.

M: Wow! I'm so glad I was the first to interview you! Thank you very much for your time! It was a pleasure to speak with you!

D: Oh, no, Miss Melody, the pleasure was mine!

M: Goodbye, see you for the next installment!

D: Goodbye, everyone!
