The first day if a new high school …again. I'd been through it so many times before that I could probably teach everything with out any difficultly at all. You see I'm over a hundred years old but at the same time I'm only seventeen because of one tiny damn thing. I'm a vampire, a natural killer. I drink the blood of my victims. I hate every single moment of it.

My name is Linda Masen. I was born and grew up in the early 1900's in Chicago, with my mother, father and twin brother, Edward. They all died of Spanish influenza and I was left on the streets alone and helpless. It was there that the damned vampire found me and bit me and I've always wondered why they didn't do me a favour and finish they job off.

Since then I've been a vile and monstrous parasite. I've tried so hard to block the awful memories of my first few years as a vampire. After I began to drift around the country trying to be as human as possible, deluding myself. I constantly try to change that by throwing myself into the humans' life but I'm still an outcaste there, a freak.

Even though I know it's pointless I'm trying again , I've moved to a new town , starting a new school and I've brought a tiny house on the outskirts of town. I'm pretending to be 18 – legally an adult- something that's a ridiculous wish. I'm never going to get older, I'm never going to die naturally and I'm a disgusting leech.

Time to unleash myself on Forks.
