Left 4 Dead – Hide and Seek
Huddled in the a corner Ashlee remained hidden from the Infected that plagued the streets, every time one passed her hiding place; she held her breath praying it wouldn't sense there was something living nearby.
The other survivors she had travelled with made the mistake of trying to help one more person. She would never forget the innocent cries of that woman. She sounded so helpless so alone.
Ashlee covered her mouth in an attempt to hold back the tears and bile that had started to work its way up and out of her body. It sickened her to think of what she saw when they all discovered that the woman wasn't so helpless. The cries of her friends echoed in her head still.
Before that woman had a chance to turn on her, Ashlee ran away and hid.
As she felt her stomach calm down, Ashlee started to cry silently, trying to think of a time before this nightmare.
She didn't hear the Hunter enter the room, or watch her cry silently.
Growling he ready himself for the attack, as he pounced like a cat; his scream was deafening. Ashlee reacted quickly getting to her feet; she rapidly fired five shots at the Hunter. None hit the target, although just to play with her, he landed inches away from her only to jump away only to hide.
After she reloaded; she raced to where she saw the Hunter land, holding her gun out she turned only to see an empty space. Suddenly pure fear sank in, she knew this was it. Ashlee turned quickly only to hear the Hunter scream.
The weight of the monster caused her to fall on her back smashing her body to the ground. The smell of it was putrid she gagged trying to push him off. Both she and the Hunter screamed together, only he screamed for the joy of a kill and the girl screamed for help.
Sadly the Hunter drowned out the girls cries with his own cry of joy. He ripped and bit at her tired body. She was weak from all the running, all the hiding.
As the Hunter ravaged her body like the animal he was, Ashlee began to fade away finally returning to that peaceful time she longed for.
A/N: In both games you see a lot of dead bodies throughout the maps I thought I might create a story for one of those unlucky persons. As with everything of mine it could have been better. Please R&R.
