Grayson Hopper lay awake in his bed, highly anticipating the new day. He was to receive his first Pokemon today from Professor Oak! He fumbled out of bed, and hours later, arrived in the kitchen to meet his mom.
"Grayson, Professor Oak wanted to meet with you," said his mom. Grayson stumbled out the door after wandering aimlessly around the kitchen and living room areas. He then proceeded to explore Pallet Town for a matter of hours before entering the lab of Professor Oak.
"Oh hi, Grayson! I've been expecting you. Which of our three Pokemon would you like?"
Grayson walked back and forth among the Poke balls, from Bulbasaur to Charmander to Squirtle. It was an important decision that he spent nearly a day trying to make, before finally choosing Charmander.
"Charmander, the fire lizard! An excellent choice!" said Oak, supplying Grayson with his first Pokemon. "Would you like to give a nickname to your new Charmander?"
Grayson hesitated f or a moment or six. "AAAABBK," he finally uttered.
"I think it's a fine name!" said Oak. "Speaking of names though, I somehow can't remember the name of my grandson. What is his name again?"
"BB," stuttered Grayson.
"You called me, Grayson?" asked a voice from outside. Into Oak's laboratory emerged BB, Grayson's rival since childhood. BB took a Squirtle from the Poke balls on Oak's desk and challenged Grayson to his first Pokemon battle.
To everyone's surprise, Grayson beat BB's Squirtle with his Charmander. He then proceeded to walk around Pallet Town for the next couple days, occasionally stumbling into a woman and a fat man. It was a long time until he exited Pallet Town and entered the grass. He picked up a potion, but halfway on his way to Viridian City, he turned around and reentered Pallet Town, where he spent the rest of his days walking about in his former manner.
