Disclaimer: I do not own Fullmetal Alchemist. I wish I did, if I owned Ed, I'd be a happy girl.

I pace the hallway. Why does Mustang want to see me? The door opens and Roy's head pops out. I walk in his office. "Why was I called here Colonel?" I ask. "You've been assigned a mission by Central command, by the Fuhrer himself. You get a partner for this one." Comes Roy's reply. "I don't need a partner Colonel Miniskirt!" I say angrily. I still haven't forgiven you for that miniskirt comment. He rolls his eyes and says, "You two are perfect for each other, sister."

My eye twitches. "I AM NOT YOUR SISTER!" I yell, "JUST BECAUSE MY ALCHEMY'S LIKE YOURS DOESN'T MAKE ME YOUR SISTER!" I hate it when people call me that jerk's sister. True, I have fire alchemy, but at least I'M not useless when wet! That's why they call me the Flash Fire Alchemist.

"You're just like him." Says Roy. "Just like who?" A new voice asks. "Just like you, Fullmetal." Roy responds. I look over at the door and see a boy a little bit shorter than me with long, blond hair pulled back in a braid. I stare at him, wide-eyed. Can it be? No… But….. It has to be. He looks at me, his mouth agape. For a second he looks like he's trying to remember something, but then a look of recognition crosses his face.

Roy watches us and says, "See? A match made in heaven." The boy glares and replies, "Shut up Colonel Sarcasm." "Good one." I comment, "My favorite has to be Colonel Miniskirt though." He smiles and says, "Star." He rushes at me and I dodge as I say, "Ed." I counter. Ed grabs my arm and pulls, sending me crashing to the floor. I manage to roll onto my back before Ed has me pinned with his hands on my chest.

Ed turns bright red and moves his hands to my arms. "You aren't used to sparring with girls." I say, teasingly. "Well last time we sparred you weren't so….. grown up." He replies, still blushing. I see my chance, push him off of me with my feet, and jump up so that I'm standing. I run up to Ed and hug him. "Gotcha!" I say. "I let you win." He says, hugging back. "So you two know each other." Roy states. "No duh!" I respond. "Now that's no way to talk to your higher ups." "Like I care." Roy rolls his eyes.

After briefing us on our mission Roy dismisses us. "It's been a long time Star, you've grown." Ed says. "It has and you haven't." I reply, giggling a bit. He looks mad for a second, then says through clenched teeth, "You're lucky that you're one of the few people that can say things like that and get away with their life." He tackle/hugs me. I laugh and hug him back.
