Turning to Spencer, she said, "I'll regret it all my life, if I don't do this." And she kissed him. Spencer was taken aback, and did not respond. But the rest of the team – not so much. They were exchanging looks that said, "Finally!"
When she detached herself, she simply turned around and walked away.
"Man, you're getting some!" Morgan cheered, clapping Reid on the back.
"I don't understand," Reid said, confused.
"What are you still doing here?" Garcia demanded.
"What - where do I go?"
"Go after her!" Prentiss exclaimed.
"I mean, it's kind of obvious," JJ stated excitedly.
"I don't understand," Reid repeated, "Why would she kiss me?"
"Just go, Reid," Hotch remarked casually.
She was driving out of the parking lot, when Reid ran in front of her car. She hit the brakes, and got out, shouting, "Are you crazy? You could've been killed!"
"But I wasn't," he began.
"Only because I was driving slow," she took a deep breath, "What do you want anyway?"
"Uh, I think we need to talk?"
Her expression changed rapidly, "I'm sorry, agent. That was probably a mistake, and I apologize if it made you uncomfortable. But I have this policy that I do things I'll otherwise regret not doing later. So, I'm really sorry, but please understand that I really wanted to do that."
"You - you wanted to do that?" he asked, brows furrowing.
"Yeah," she blushed, unseen in the dimly lit parking lot.
"But - but nothing adds up!"
"Supervisory Special Agent Doctor Spencer Reid, sometimes logic isn't everything. Sometimes, it's just the irrationality."
"But why?"
"Because, Agent Reid - I like you. I like you nervous. I like you awkward. I like you spewing out random statistics. I like your intelligence. I like your personality. I like your face. I like your hair. I like your hands. I like your eyes. I like your lips. I like your height. I like your attitude to guns. I like you disarming criminals with your mind. I like you colouring your maps. I - ," she faltered when she looked at his incredulous face, and ending up whispering the last part, while looking at her feet, "- I just like you, Reid."
Suddenly he put his finger under her chin, and lifted her face so she was looking at him. He leaned in and kissed her softly. When they broke apart, he said, "Please, call me Spencer."
"Man, he's getting some," Morgan grinned from his position at the station window.
