Authors Note: I tried not to create too many plot holes within my story, and I'm sorry if character's motives are unclear but enjoy the story.
Warm blood leaked out of Detective Hoffman's mouth as he vainly attempted to cover it with his hand. "I swear to god I will kill her" he thought silently to himself putting more pressure on his wound. He started to feel weaker as his eyes started to shut. He looked and saw a thick pool of blood on the ground and knew that he was running out of time. "It can't end like this" he thought as he attempted to stand up. However Hoffman grew too tired and passed out from lack of blood. He was surprised when he woke up strapped on a table only able to slightly move his arms. "I wasn't able to save your mouth" Hoffman looked up and saw Dr. Gordon.
His appearance had slightly changed since he was tested, he had a prostatic cast over his leg and he seemed paler like he hadn't gotten out in the sun in years. "I was able to stop the bleeding though" Dr. Gordon paused for a minute. He took out a syringe out of a cabinet drawer. He injected Hoffman with a drug and Hoffman instantly felt numb. "I have to keep you heavily sedated until the pain stops" he explained as he looked over at Hoffman. "Still it's not like I care. John threatened my family unless I did what he told me. But he's dead and now all what I have to do is find Jill and then I will be free. I'm only saving your life because I believe that you want to play this game as much as I want to" Dr. Gordon then left the room.
Hoffman tore his arm out of the cuff that it was in and started to look through his clothes. He was about to yank his other arm out of his trap when something fell out of his coat pocket. He was surprised to find a tape sitting on his lap. He remembered when Jill was tightening his wrists that she stuffed something in his coat pocket. He figured that it was the tape that would be used for his test but Jill never played it.
He clicked the button and heard John's voice. "Hello Mark I want to play a game. Up until this point I have blackmailed you into being my accomplice but Dr. Gordon has destroyed the evidence that would be sent to the police station in case of my demise. If you want to truly serve justice then all what you have to do is kill Dr. Gordon and Jill. But if you want to go back to being a hero then simply call the police on them. All the officers have been killed and there is no DNA evidence linking you to any of your current crimes. So make your choice"
