This is all based off of a promo picture I saw for episode 9-Fool in the Rain at spoilerTV. So if you don't want to even be spoiled in the slightest please don't read cuz I don't want to ruin anything for anybody if they don't want it to be ruined lol.
She couldn't really believe her eyes…she didn't want to. Auggie, her friend and mentor was sitting there talking to the infamous Liza Hearn, the ambitious reporter who was making a name for herself by destroying the lives of many within the Agency. Annie doubted that he even knew she was there considering the fact that she was a good 20 feet away from the pair and sitting at the counter of a crowded, noisy bar. So she waited and sure enough, ten minutes later Liza left leaving Auggie alone at their table.
Downing her bottle of liquid courage, Annie ordered two more and walked over to her friend's table before another girl could fill the vacant seat.
"Hey Auggie, what're you doin' here?" she inquired in a voice that probably had a bit to much pep in it for her own good.
"Annie. From that lively greeting, I'll take it that you saw who I was sitting with a moment ago, and I'll start my defense by saying it wasn't what it looked like." he replied, taking the bottle she handed him with a nod of thanks.
"What did it look like?" she muttered taking a drink.
"Well, I can't really provide any details but I could imagine it looked like I was passing Ms. Hearn industry secrets….Look Annie, do you really think I'd be stupid enough to do that here, at this bar that at any moment is filled with anywhere between five to twenty agents and/or random agency workers. Any number of which could rat me out at any time they want."
"True, but you are clever enough to pull it off without anyone being the wiser."
With a comical huff Auggie placed a hand over his heart and said, "Annie, I'm offended. Don't you trust me?"
And she hesitated, looking him over. She hadn't been around long but she had been through enough and she knew enough about the CIA now to know that things weren't always as they seemed, "I'm not sure if I have that luxury anymore."
He took in her words and with a nod and a sigh he said, "That really is a shame." After that he stood and left Annie sitting there wondering.
