"...Im half-way through my actual follow-up to Flying, but last nite's ep was too epic not to write a story about. Just a flashback scene of Tucker and Oliver...R&R if you thought the ep was epic too!...Oooh, and who thinks I should start a Tucker drabble story?"
The Pact
Tucker Bryant and Oliver hid in Tucker's small closet. Oliver listened to his younger friend as he tried not to cry, but, as usual, he failed miserably. Oliver pushed Tucker closer to him, whispering reassuring words as he clung to his shirt.
"Hey, why don't we get out of here and head over to the beach?" Ollie asked.
"Yeah." Tucker nodded. With that, Ollie helped his friend climb out of the window, careful not to let him get scratched by anything on their way down...
Tucker and Ollie sat in the sand of hours that night. Marshal Bryant had drank more that night than he ever had before, and Ollie didn't feel safe leaving his best friend home with his drunk father. Tucker had stopped crying, at least, but Ollie could tell that he was still upset. He sighed before scooting closer to Tucker and draping an arm over his shoulders.
"I'll never do that to do." he whispered
"What?" Tucker asked, his voice weak and cracked.
"I'll never put you in that situation- never...do...the things that your dad does. It's not healthy, and above it all, it's not fair to you."
"And I won't do that to you." Tucker replied softly, a single tear dripping down his face.
Ollie smiled at his friend reassuringly. Tucker needed to hear that, and he was glad that he was the one who talked to him about it. "Well, then, consider it a pact."
"Yeah, I think I'd like that." Tucker said, imitating his friend's smile.
"It's getting pretty late- how about we get to my house and grab a bite to eat? You can spend the night if you'd like. I still have some of your clothes over there from the last time your father..." He couldn't finish the sentence, though. Tucker was smart enough to fill in the blanks, and he nodded his head.
"Thanks, Ollie."
"Anything for my little bro." he smiled back. With that, the two friends walked on the sand, the setting sun reflecting against the water, and headed home.
'If he ever hurts Tucker, I swear I'll make sure he never sees him again...'
"...Well, there it is :) I'll most likely write another In Vino Veritas followup, but it will continue right after the ep ended. Hope you liked it!..."
