"Tony, we are done discussing this!" Special Agent Caitlin Todd said to her partner, Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, her tone exasperated.

"I'm not," the man across from her responded, propping his feet up on his desk. "I think the subject requires much more discussion."

"Look, I was just relieved that you were alive, okay?" Kate justified, saying it quietly though none of their team mates were around.

"And believe me, I was happy to be alive," he responded. "It's still not over, though. You're not getting out of this one."

Kate's face reddened, and she sighed. "It was reckless and impulsive."

"And hot."

"And ill advised."

"And so much fun."

"It was a one time thing and will never happen again!" Kate's voice was raised by this point, just as her supervisor and their forensics tech approached.

"That's where you're wrong, Kate, cause it most definitely will," Tony said with a smirk. He didn't see the hand coming as it hit the back of his head as Gibbs walked by. "What was that for?" he asked, indignant.

"For annoying your team mate," Gibbs replied, not taking his eyes off the papers in his hand as he sat down. "I need you two to go down and talk to Duckie; he has some evidence for us."

"First day back from the pneumonic plague and I'm getting abused," Tony mumbled, loud enough for the others to hear.

Kate picked up her PDA from her desk as she made her way to the elevator. "Look Tony, you and I both know it was a mis-"

Tony turned and stopped her to fast she stopped speaking. "No, Kate, it was never that. It might have been impulsive and reckless and all that other stuff, but it was not a mistake. Never," he said firmly, releasing the arm he had grabbed to stop her. Kate nodded her agreement.

"What are they fighting about?" Abbie asked Gibbs, cocking her head sideways to observe the pair.

Gibbs looked up at his team members, their bickering a little different than the usual. "I…I'm not sure," he said, surprising Abbie as well as the agents in question.

"Well, that's a relief," Kate mumbled, walking to the elevator. She and Tony stepped inside it and the doors slid shut before Gibbs head popped up again, his face completely surprised.

"They had sex!" he exclaimed, shocking the people around him with both the revelation and the volume at which he proclaimed it.

Inside the elevator, Tony reached out and pushed the emergency stop button, bringing the vehicle to a sudden halt. "Tony, what are you…?" Kate asked, confused. He stepped forward, pressing against her so that she was sandwiched between him and the wall.

"We were good Kate. Not just above average good, but good," the emphasis he put on the word sent a delicious shiver up Kate's spine. "It doesn't matter that we didn't mean for it to happen, it just did and I am not going to let that go."

Kate studied him for a while, before commenting, "You're still recovering and weak. If I wanted to, I could get you away from me very easily."

A slow smile spread across Tony's face. "If you wanted to, you could. But you don't want to." It was a statement, not a question, and she knew it.

"No," she admitted, "I don't want to." They both leaned forward until their lips met softly, different from the frantic mating of lips from the night before. They each smiled against each other's mouths, slowly breaking apart.

As Tony hit the emergency button again to get the elevator moving, he commented, "I always knew Gibbs' office would be good for something." His grin got wider as they stepped off the elevator and walked to Autopsy.

"What's this about you two engaging in intercourse?" Duckie fired at them as they passed through the doors.
