Snap.
Half of the world's population, gone in one flex of Thanos's digits.
Half of the world's population, and half of BTS.
All tour dates were cancelled, after the snap. The future of the band was too uncertain- with three of their members dead, and one just a torso, Big Hit was unsure if BTS would ever return to the stage.
Jimin couldn't sleep alone in their room for a month after Hobi dissolved. Jin walked Yeontan everyday, until they realized Taehyung wasn't coming back. Then he moved the dog to his apartment. Namjoon called Yoongi every night, just to hear his best friend's recorded voice. Jungkook really missed his legs.
The remaining members took to eating all their meals together. Their world was too fragile, and they leaned heavily on each other to make it through every day. They no longer appeared in public, or even on social media. Twitter was a reminder that half of their 18.6 million ARMY followers were gone. It was too painful.
Eventually, Namjoon texted in the group chat- they had never removed Hobi, Yoongi, and Taehyung- that they needed to discuss the future of the group. Neither Jin, Jimin, or Kook responded, but they still showed up for dinner at Namjoon's apartment that night.
"This is a conversation we need to have," Namjoon said, seemingly out of nowhere. Jimin looked at him in surprise, mouth full of steak.
"Maybe you need to have it, but we'd rather not talk about it," Jin retorted. "Kook is just a torso, we haven't had enough time to process all of this."
Namjoon slammed his fist on the table. "There's never going to be enough time to process this. We don't have time. Because this isn't just about us."
Jimin swallowed his mouthful of food. "Who else is it about?"
Namjoon opened his mouth to answer, but Kook laid a hand on his arm. "Isn't it obvious? This didn't just affect us- half of all ARMYs are gone, and we've been radio silent." He exchanged a glance with Namjoon. "They're going to feel more lost and alone than we are. They deserve an answer."
Jin looked down at his food, unreadable. Then he nodded.
"What if..." Kook started, but fell silent.
"Well? What are you thinking?" Jimin asked.
"What if we continued the tour?"
The others gaped at him. "But- without the others? And you're just a torso!" Jin exclaimed.
"It's what they would've wanted, and it's what the ARMYs need," Kook argued. "I can do it. For BTS and ARMYs, I can be strong."
Namjoon looked back and forth between Jin and Jimin. "I'm with Kook... what do y'all say?"
They both nodded slowly.
One month later, BTS resumed their tour. Twenty five shows and nine cities later, BTS had completed their world tour with only three and a half members.
After their last show, the small group celebrated in a bar in Bangkok.
"For Hobi, Taehyung, and Yoongi," Namjoon said, raising his glass for a toast. The others echoed his words, clinking their glasses together.
"Excuse me- could I get an autograph? I'm a big fan," an unfamiliar voice interrupted.
They turned to the source. A middle aged man with a short beard and sunglasses had approached their table, and held out a photo card for them to sign.
"Do you mind? This is a private moment," Jin said.
"Sorry, I understand. I lost friends to the snap, too," the man responded. He removed his sunglasses and folded them into his breast pocket. "Allow me to introduce myself, BTS. I'm Tony Stark, and I need your help to defeat Thanos and bring back our friends."
