Pokémon: The Adventures of Umbreon
Book 1 in the Pokémon Short Stories

Hello. My name is Umbreon. I am a Dark type Pokémon. I live in a small forest with other Pokémon. This forest is called Elfhiem Forest. It's in the Hoenn region. I lived alone, except for three house guests. They were all friends of mine. Josh is a Vaporeon. Another friend of mine, Jason is a Flareon. The last of my guests is a small Eevee. His name is Robin. Robin is my little brother, and my only family left. The rest were taken by humans. It left me bitter. We lived in an underground den. We each had our own room, so it wasn't awkward. I went out one night. It was the night it all began.
As I marched through the tall grass I overheard some Pokémon. I stopped moving and then I looked through the grass. Two fully evolved Pokémon. Aggron and Metagross. I could easily defeat Metagross on my own. I had type advantage. I was also very powerful and had high defensive stats. I stayed hidden. It was night, so I was at my strongest. I also couldn't be seen. They were talking very loud. "So when to we start the job?" said Aggron.
"As soon as we take care of the Pokémon in this forest. Then we will have the mountain all to ourselves and we can free Master Groundon." said Metagross.
When I heard Groundon, I nearly gasped. They weren't talking about my friend Groundon. That Groundon was in Primal Forme. This Groundon was most likely the possessed one. This one was possessed by the Ruby Orb. It was hidden away in a mountain until Groundon found it. After words, he became so strong, he had to be put into a slumber, and then encased by a mountain. So this whole time I was living next to Groundon! Worse of it all this whole forest was so beautiful. They would kill us, and then destroy the entire forest just to have Groundon come back! It was an evil plot.
Hey, I'm not evil, just mischievous. "Well, we will start in the morning." said Aggron.
Not on my watch I thought. I jumped from the bushes a used Foul Play. I knocked out Metagross. Aggron charged at me. I used Flash so he couldn't see. Then I used Iron Tail. I finished him off with Last resort. I sighed. It looks like this forest would be safe for a while longer.
