Tea watched the predestined heroes, Yami and Yugi and wondered if their destiny would destroy them.

Not to be too melodramatic, but she could see signs of fate weaving ever tighter around their souls.

It was pushing them, moulding them into a form that would have a chance to save the world.

It went against her nature to just watch it happen. But what could she do? She didn't have any magic, shadow or otherwise. Yugi, and now Yami were her friends, so there was only one thing he could do.

Stand by them, through thick and thin.

A sacrifice for the greater good. It was wrong. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!!!

They were her friends. She couldn't just watch them hurdle towards their fate.

It wasn't like they even had a choice. Even if she could give them a choice, they were already shaped to take the burden. They would willingly sacrifice themselves, whatever they may have wished for before had been ruthlessly abandoned in their mutual quest to save the world.

Maybe they had never had any desires beyond what fate gave them. No free will. Tea remembered the times from before the puzzle and knew that it was likely Yugi had been formed for this one propose, his love of games, strategic mind and forgiving nature were all aimed at releasing the Pharaoh and saving the world.

It was wrong.

There was nothing she could do.

Except watch, knowing the soft curves of Yugi's soul was taking on some of the hardness of Yami's and Yami's sharp corners were smoothing over.

Their souls reminded her of a form ball and a chestnut. One retained its shape no matter how you abused it, while one hurt anyone who touched it.

Together… well together they were a trap. Seemingly soft, but push too hard and you got bitten.
