Hey, so I got extra bored during this holidays since I have absolutely nothing to do, and decided to write a quick one-shot. I thought it might be fun to just… Fluff it a little bit, y'know, since it's something I never do. (almost, that is) But also, don't get me wrong, it's not like… boring to read (at least I think it's not)
Disclaimer; I don't own Friends. Still, so many years since the show ended, I still wish I did.
The Break is Over
The day had finally come.
The day of his dreams. The day he'd never believed was actually going to happen.
A day, who had seemed so out of reach, just two years ago.
He couldn't believe that it was actually here.
Finally.
"We are ready for you buddy." Chandler said, sticking his head into the room where he'd been sitting for the last ten minutes.
"Um, okay." he said and stood up to smother his clothes, "Good."
"This might seem like an odd question;" Chandler joked, "But are you sure you want to do this?"
"Yes," he said, "I've been wanting this forever, Chandler. The day has finally come. I couldn't be more happy."
"Good." Chandler padded his back, "That was what I wanted to hear."
He followed Chandler into the church and took his place with his buddies right next to him.
Oh, he couldn't wait to see the love of his life.
When she came down the isle, after Monica and Phoebe had already made their way down, he couldn't help but get tears in his eyes because of the way she looked.
Nothing could describe it.
She wasn't pretty. She wasn't gorgeous. She wasn't beautiful.
She didn't look like a floating angel.
She was so much more.
He looked her in the eye, and saw that she was crying too.
Hurray for the waterproof mascara.
He reached out and took her hand, holding it tight, showing her, that he never wanted to let her go.
And now he didn't have to.
He was marrying her.
She squeezed his hand with hers, assuring him that she was there too.
Forever.
Joey's spoken words bounded them forever, and when he looked into her eyes again, it wasn't like it had been before. Now she was his wife.
He smiled and took her arm, leading her down the aisle.
The break was finally over.
Yeah, I know, why do I even bother posting this, but I felt the urge to do it when I had spent time writing it. I dunno how long it took. 10 minutes? God, I need a psychologist. Anyway, I should probably get going now, since my sister is going to my dad's and I have to say goodbye to her. Please leave me a review, y'know, it's only Christmas once a year. Happy holidays, everybody.
Stessa :p
