Conversation 101
Well I've gone and done it this time. In the Infirmary again I am. I want OUT. Oh I hear someone coming. I hope it's my ticket outta here. Oh nope only Doc. "You gave us quite a scare there Colonel. I thought you'd never wake up. How ya feeling?" "Oh you know, the usual." I replied. Should I tell her I got a major headache? Nah! "Are you sure; no headaches, no aches, no pains, sore muscles, cramps, anything at all?" she asks with a smile. Oh she's good, real good. Okay so I admit it I got a headache and feel like shit, who cares. Doc stares at me waiting for an answer. "Oh for cryin out loud Doc it's just a headache. I'll be fine. I might feel like shit but I'm fine honest." I complain. She smiles, nods and leaves probably to go find those little red pills she just loves giving to me. A few minutes later she comes back with the pills. She hands them to me. "There that should help with the headache. I'll come back in a while to check up on ya. Get some rest okay?" she says her voice gentle and soothing. "Yes Ma'am" I reply then take the pills she's handed me. In a few minutes I've dozed off to sleep.
