A/N I haven't done much at all for a really long time so I thought I'd try my hand at one of my favorite ships! I haven't seen the last episode of Soul Eater in a REEAAAALLLLY long time so I don't remember whether or not Marie had to leave again. But any way! Enjoy! Oh, and My apologies if they're OOC
Marie looked around Stein's laboratory. She'd made it into a pretty nice place. Too bad the whole thing with the Kishin was over. She shook her head violently. She shouldn't think like that! The Kishin, Asura had nearly destroyed all things, and here she was wishing he was still around just so she could keep living here. With Stein... Why couldn't she keep such things such as wanting to stay buried deep inside! Sighing she went to the kitchen and made herself some tea. That should help her calm down enough to start packing.
Once the tea was brewed enough, she added a touch of sugar, and sat down on the couch.
"I wonder where Stein is..." She wondered aloud.
"Right here." Jumping slightly Marie turned to see the Meister standing in the door way fiddling with his screw. As always, showing little emotion.
"You scared me!"
"Sorry." His face broke into a small smile.
"What?"
"Hmm?"
"What's making you smile?"
"Can't I smile?"
"I usually get the feeling your about to disect something when you do."
"Oh.. Sorry. I was just thinking about how nice the room looks..."
"really?"
"yup. Pity it'll be gone soon." Stein shoved his hands in his pockets.
"You know, I'd be happy to leave stuff here if you like!" Marie smiled at him brightly.
"yeah. It won't be the same without you, though." He walked in and sat down across from her.
"That's nice of you to say, Stein!" Marie's smile broadened. She knew he was probably just saying it to be nice, but a complement is a complement!
"Thank you!" He smirked a bit. Closest thing to a non-crazy smile you'll get from the great meister Fraken-Stein.
"No problem... Want some tea?"
"No thank you. I should probably go prepare tomorrows lesson." Stein stood up to go into his room where he did his stuff.
"Yeah. I should start packing." Stein paused and looked down at her.
"I really will miss you, Marie." He said softly. Marie looked down.
"I'll miss you too. But if you'd like, I'll come visit!" Stein gave a really smile.
"I'd like that very much. Need help with packing?"
"What about your lesson-plans?"
"They can wait, in the mean time I'd better help you. Maybe I can convince Spirit to take over for me so I can help you fit back in when you get back to Oceana." Stein offered Marie his hand.
"Maybe. I'd like that. Thank you." She smiled and to his hand. They would probably never say it. But they cared about eachother. Much more than they think.
