Failed Interviews
She hadn't planned on starting out so bad:
she'd tried so hard as well
but somehow, something always did
get in her way
Like the interview she'd managed to get
on her own merits: her first, in which
she'd been too nervous to put together
a decent sentence or two
And then there was the one her sister's
husband had gotten for her, that she
was more relaxed, and more confident for
but late, for circumstances outside her control
But interviewers didn't care about things like that:
just results.
