The Great Prince lied on the den, looking how his son, Bambi slept. And then, he slowly started to fall asleep. But, he was soon awakened by a gentle voice.
''Dear…''
The Great Prince opened his eyes and saw his mate looking down at him with a smile. The Great Prince was stunned.
''E-Emily?''
''Hello, dear. How have you been?'' Bambi's mother asked, still smiling.
''You're alive?'' The Great Prince asked, very shocked. ''H-How can that be?''
''I'm a spirit.'' Bambi's mother's smile faded. ''I came to see how is my son doing. And how are you doing with raising him.''
The Great Prince saw that Bambi hasn't waken up. ''How is he still sleeping?''
''Because, this is a dream you're having.'' Bambi's mother responded.
''A-A dream? That isn't real?''
Bambi's mother shook his head. ''This is real, I'm visiting you in your dream.''
''How can that be real?'' The Great Prince couldn't understand.
''Because, you are seeing me and I am seeing you. This looks real to you, does it?''
The Great Prince nodded.
''And in some case, this is real, even if you don't know how.'' Bambi's mother answered, softly. ''I have to go now. Tell our son that I love him and that I miss him.''
''He would love to see you…'' The Great Prince whispered.
''I know.'' Bambi's mother sighed. ''I already visited him in his dream. Remember when, after he went to the meadow and you had to save him?''
''Before that?'' The Great Prince asked and Bambi's mother nodded.
''I have to go now, I'm sorry, just don't be too hard on our son.''
The Great Prince nodded. ''I promise.'' He saw Bambi's mother turn. ''I love you, Emily.'' He whispered after her.
Bambi's mother turned and smiled. ''I love you too. Goodbye.'' And then she faded away and The Great Prince woke up, but then remembered and looked into the sky. ''Thank you, Emily.'' He whispered.
