Nightmares

"Kakashi, you're being ridiculous," an overly exasperated medic stated, shaking her head in defeat and walking away.

"Sakura, please just listen to me." He followed her down the hallway of the hospital while she continued her rounds.

The medic reached a door marked 216 and picked up the clipboard hanging next to it. "I will not. I'm supposed to be working and all you can do is tell me that this is far more important. What could be so important about a bad dream you had after reading your smut?" she continued on refusing to look back at him.

He pressed on, "Sakura, I don't think you're quite grasping just how accurate my dreams can be."

"Can being the operative word here. I don't see why you're fretting about this. It's not like it's going to ever happen anyways."

She quietly opened the door to 219 and peeked in. Not seeing anything amiss she closed it and finally looked back at her husband, "I think you're working yourself up for no good reason."

They both walked silently along the sterile hospital halls until they reached her office where he followed her in like a pouting child.

He slumped on the couch in the corner, "But what if Jiraiya decides to stop writing Icha-Icha?! What will I do and how am I supposed to get my fix?!"

After shutting and locking the door she sauntered across the small office to comfortably straddle his lap then looking up at him through long sooty lashes she replied, "I suppose you're just going to have to think up some of your own fantasies if that ever comes to pass." Sakura understood her husband better than anyone and his fetish for the written word. Even if this particular writing consisted of bad pick up lines, corny comebacks and more than a dozen hot, heavy and very cheesy sex scenes.

"What would I do without you?" he asked for the millionth time since they'd been married.

"Not have the real thing," she smirked pulling down his mask.
