Authors note: Hello readers! :3 This started as a little challenge for myself when I realized how undershipped Madam Hooch was thus Tonks/Hooch was born! For all intents and purposes this should be considered very AU considering there's nothing in canon that suggests they had any interaction at all xD I have no idea if this will remain a one shot or end up being chapters long, though this ship seems to have a lot of potential. Happy reading! 3

Ch. 1
Tonks surveyed her reflection in the bathroom mirror, cocking her head to one side to review her handiwork. Moments before her hair had been deep black and just past her shoulders, a shade chosen mostly to keep her professors who abided strictly by the dress code at bay, was now a vivid shade of pink; short and spiky. She marveled at her new transformation and smiled for it have not been without error. Even though she had been able to chance her appearance at will since birth, the occasional accident did occur. On one occasion she had lost all her hair completely, now it was just the right length, just like hers.
Tonks thought of her Quidditch instructor, how much had she changed since meeting her. Already in her 4th year she wondered why she never felt this connection with Madam Hooch before. She had never taken much interest in the sport, or any sport for that matter, due to her lack of coordination and grace. Amazingly she had found flying much easier than walking or running, not having worry about tripping over her own feet was a welcome relief. The instant her clumsy feet had left the ground she felt a surge of confidence and soared into the sky, even daring a few spins as she flew laps around the pitch. Impressed with the young girl's skill on a broom Madame Hooch had tried to hone her skills as a beater; one of Huffelpuff's current beaters would be graduating soon and the position needed to be filled as soon as possible. Tonks had been nothing short of a disappointment.
"I couldn't hit the blind side of barn", she thought remorsely as she shook her head. "Still…"
The professor had not given up on her. Madam Hooch was determined to make a Quidditch player of Tonks, even if she had to work overtime for it. She insisted the young Huffelpuff practice after her lessons were over, she was to meet her at the Quidditch pitch everyday until she was ready to join the team. Tonks glanced at her watch; the class she had just ditched was almost over. She had slipped away from History of Magic early to try on her new look. After one last glimpse at her new appearance she raced down the hallways towards the Quidditch pitch, eager to begin her lessons though her heart was beating fast long before she got there.
