Once, there was a man.
A lonely man, with a great burden
A man without hope
Then, one day, this man met a girl
A bright girl
A young girl
A loving, alive girl.
And they saved the world
And he asked her to come with him
And she said she couldn't
So he traveled alone,
Saving people where he could
Seeing new things
Trying to outrun the encroaching darkness
And one day, he did what he had promised he would never do
He went back
And saved his life with eight words
'Did I mention, it also travels in time?'
And they ran
Together
And it was fantastic
And every day, they fell a little more in love
Ignoring signs that all was not well
'Bad Wolf?'
Then came Satellite Five
The Game Station
And she was taken
And he did what he could to save her
Anything
He sent her away, forever
But she did the impossible
She came back
She became a goddess
She brought life
But it came with a price
''You're going to burn!'
'My head…it's killing me.'
And he gave his life for her
'Come here. I think you need a Doctor.'
And he changed
'Who are you?'
But she realized that he was still the same ma
And they kept running
Even further that they had before
And one day, she realized that she had fallen for him
Again
Then came the day they were forced to stop
Then came the day they died
The Battle of Canary Wharf
Doomsday
She promised him forever
And in a few minutes, she was gone forever
Unreachable
And he was alone again
He did everything he could to get her back
He went a little insane
In the end, he only got a few minutes
To say goodbye
Forever
And when it was all over
'Rose Tyler...'
He never said what he needed to
And she disappeared
Now he's carrying on
Going through the motions
And so is she
Heartbroken
'And that is why the TARDIS is blue.
