"Ne, Sanada," The pretty buchou said. You're really going stag at the prom?"
Sanada tried to look Yukimura in the eye but failed, he knew he would melt into those eyes once he saw them, so he looked at the floor instead. "Yes."
"What if someone asked you again?"
"I'll tell her no."
"What if it's not a she?"
"Huh? What do you mean? What if a boy asked me?"
"Yes."
Sanada thought for a moment. Could Yukimura be asking him to the prom? No, impossible, he likes a girl.
"Do you like someone, Genichirou?" Yukimura asked in a soft, coaxing voice.
Sanada didn't answer but instead pretended to arrange his things.
"I thought so." Yukimura softly said.
"What?" Sanada asked.
"You like someone."
"I didn't say that."
"But your face says it."
Sanada didn't say anything again.
"My, my. Who d have thought you would be speechless, Genichirou." Yukimura teased.
"Okay, so I like someone. Big deal." Sanada scoffed. "You like someone too."
"I do." Yukimura smiled.
Sanada could feel his insides being ripped apart.
"But I feel weird about it though." Yukimura said quietly.
"Oh? Why is that?" Sanada asked.
"Because the person I like is a boy." Yukimura said.
Sanada perked up a little. Iie, there could be no way that the boy he likes is me.
"Oh that's not weird look Niou likes Yagyuu and he's a boy."
"Heh." Yukimura looked at Niou and Yagyuu. "I envy him. He confessed to the one he likes already."
"Then confess to the one you like already, get it off your chest."
Yukimura turned his look back on Sanada. He looked him in the eye. Sanada was melting.
"Maybe we should start morning practice now." Sanada started to get up but Yukimura's hand pulled him back down.
"What's the mat--" Sanada started but he was cut off by Yukimura who kissed him fiercely on the lips, making Sanada's eyes grow wide, but Sanada closed them after a second. Sanada kissed Yukimura back and they pulled away five seconds later.
"I like you, Genichirou." Yukimura said after they pulled away.
Sanada was sort of stunned but his eyes turned soft when it met Yukimura's.
"I like you too, Seiichi." Sanada said, actually smiling.
It seemed to them that they were the only people in the locker room but in reality, the Rikkai regulars were staring at them.
Marui, Akaya, and Niou had their mouths hanging open. They stopped their fight when Yanagi saw in his peripheral vision Yukimura and Sanada kissing and he announced it to them.
Akaya whistled. "Who knew Sanada-fukubuchou could smile."
