"Will ya stop staring at me, it's really starting to freak me out." I say annoyingly to Rukia. She's been staring right at me for awhile. What is up with her today?
"Hey, midget!" I yell to her. She's still staring. And she's not hitting me over the head for calling her midget! Oh yeah, something is SERIOUSLY wrong with her. Seriously. I get up from my desk chair and move over to where she's sitting, which is by the closet door...
I sit in front of her, and wave my hand in front of her face. She's still staring. But it looks like she's remembering something. Like, a memory. Okay, now I'm worried. I look into her eyes, my face just inches away from hers.
"Rukia...?" I say a little worried. I tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. Then she blinks.
"I-Ichigo?" she says in a dazed tone of voice.
"Yeah, are you okay?" I say still with a worried tone. Her eyes look dazed.
"I-I don't know." she says.
"Are you remembering something?" I ask her nervously. She shakes her head yes. I see tears come to her eyes.
"I... I never meant to kill him." she says and then breakes out into a sob. Rukia killed soemone? I mean, she's killed plenty of hollows but a human being? She covers her face with her hands. I put a hand on to her shoulder, and she looks up at me...
"Do you want to talk about it?" I ask softly to her.
"Y-Yeah, kinda." she tells me. And so she starts.
"I killed a man. He was my Captain back in Soul Society. We were close to eachother. I loved him." My eyes widen at this last bit of information. She seems to notice my distress.
"N-Not like that." she says nervously with a blush on her cheeks. She begins again...
"Kaien had a wife. And I respected her very much, she was my idol. But then one night, a hollow killed her. Kaien wanted to get revenge. And also we had to kill this hollow, because it was killing many peaple. So, Ukitake, Kaien and me went to kill him. Long story short, the hollow went inside of Kaien and took over his body, and he tried to kill me and Ukitake. Ukitake told me to run, that he'll handle this himself. So I did run, but the hollow came after me. And he jumped up and was about to kill me. But I put my sword out in front of me. And-" Rukia stops speaking and trys to hold back another sob. I understand what she's trying to say...
"The hollow was in Kaiens body, and you put you're sword up in front of yourself to protect yourself." I say to her. Rukia shakes her head yes, and begins to cry again. I do the only thing I can think to do. I hug her...
I hug her and she crys into my chest. I comfort her because she needs it right now. More then ever. So, I hug her, while she crys. And then, she's kissing me. I don't know why or how it happened. One minute she's crying into my chest, the next minute she's kissing me with so much passion it takes my breath away. Man, she's acting extrememly strange today! But I think I'm alright with that. I kiss her back. The kiss is forceful and passionate. I realize it's COMFORTING. To both her and me...
It's perfect.
