My Girl
Ron sat in the Gryffindor Common trying to finish his Transfiguration homework. For some reason however, he could not seem to keep his mind on his work. His eyes kept wandering over to one of his bestfriends, Hermione Granger.
He had a perfect view of her profile. Her chestnut brown hair looked so peaceful there reading a book.
Ron had no idea why he was thinking about Hermione like this. She was his best friend along with Harry, not his girlfriend! He shook his head slightly to clear his mind.
Was it so stupid to think that he liked Hermione? He saw her everyday and Hermione, Harry, and himself were practically inseprable. Sure they fought sometimes but they always made up in the end.
As he continued to stare at Hermione, he began to see things about her, he never noticed. Like how her lips moved silently as she read the words of her book. Smiling slightly when she read something she enjoyed.
Suddenly without thought he was out of his chair and heading towards Hermione. He had not a thought in his mind except to get to her.
"Hermione?" he said faintly, in a tone much different then his usual sarcastic voice.
"Yes," she replyed her eyes lingering for a moment on her book, when she looked up she had a slight smile on her face.
"Well I was thinking that maybe, well, Hermione, uh, er, well...."
"Yes Ron?" she questioned
"Hermione, I like you...a lot." he said blushing
Hermione's eyes twinkled and she smiled widely. "I like you too."
"Seriously?" Ron said almost unbelieving
"Seriously!" Hermione replied excitedly
"Well then, do you want to go out with me?" Ron said
"Sure." Hermione said, if she could wideing her smiling even more.
"Well I'll see you tomorrow than." Ron said grinning.
"Tomorrow than." said Hermione returning the grin.
And with that they both ambled up to their respective dorm rooms with smiles plastered across their faces.
A/N: I hope that you all enjoyed this little fic. I was trying to make it as un*sappy and as in character as I could. Please, please, PLEASE! review. It really does make us feel better. Just to let you know, I most likely am not going to continue this fic. I like how it ends.
