Author's note: I had a friend sit me down the other day in the library and tell me to write something before the bell rang, which gave me fifteen minutes to try and think of anything. This is what came of it.

The Time Of My Life

STEVE'S POV

Sandy's a bitch. I hate her with every fiber of my being. What she did to my best friend... Well, it was heartless. I want to kill her. That's about all there is to it.

And finally, one day, I get my chance.

I go down to Florida about six months after she moved there. I don't care if Soda's pretty much over her and moving on. I still want to murder her ass.

I hunt around Florida for a few months. I didn't tell the gang that I was leaving till I was already gone, so they have no idea what I'm doing. Honestly, I bet they probably think I jumped off the 11th street bridge or something. I've mentioned it once or twice, when things are especially hard at home.

Then I see her.

I'm in Jacksonville Florida, the last place on Earth I would ever choose to be, sitting in my '53 Ford T-Bird at a red light, when I see her crossing the street. She isn't big and pregnant anymore, so at least I won't have to worry about killing a baby. That would be hard to explain.

She sees me. Her blue eyes widen and she mouthed, "Steve?"

I grin back and flip her off. "Go to hell."

I don't care if the light's red. I put the pedal to the floor.

The amount of blood that goes everywhere, you wouldn't believe. All over the front of my car.

Damn it. I just repainted it.

I get out of there as fast as I can, tearing out of town. I just drive straight home. No stops. Not worth the risk. I do 116 the whole way.

When I pull up in front of the Curtis house, Soda comes running out the door. "Steve, where the hell have you been? We've been worr-" He pauses, seeing the blood I've still neglected to clean off my car. "Son of a bitch! What happened?"

I smile. "So, ya know the filthy, cheating, whore of a bitch you went out with?"

He stares. "You didn't…"

I smile wider. "You're welcome."

Jacksonville Florida is a great place! I've got relatives that live there. I'm in no way dissing on the city!
