CHAPTER 1

Cat's POV

It's 4:00 in the morning and someone is calling me. I grab my phone and answer it.

"Hello and why are you calling?", I ask.

"Do you remember me?", a familiar male voice asks.

"Exactly who are you?", I ask sitting up.

"It's Eddie.", he replied.

I froze. Eddie was my boyfriend until he left and never say goodbye. Now he just reels me in like a fish.

"Why didn't you say goodbye?! You know I loved you! LOVED!", I shout.

I think my little sister heard me because I heard a small knock.

"It's open.", I say.

My little sister, Kayla, opens the door while holding Lotso. (the one from Toy Story 3)

"Cat, what's wrong?", Kayla asks sitting on my bed.

"Wait, is that Kayla?", Eddie asks.

"None of your business. Now, call me later. I have to go.", I say then hang up.

"Cat, who was that?", Kayla asks hugging Lotso tightly.

"It's Eddie, my ex-boyfriend.", I say.

"Can I sleep here tonight? And forever?", Kayla asks hugging me.

"Sure Kayla. Anything for you.", I say.

She lay down softly and fell asleep right away. I tucked her in and lay down.

4 hours later...

"Cat, wake up. Your phone's ringing and I can't sleep.", Kayla says.

I grab my phone and answer it.

"Hello?", I ask.

"Cat?", a voice cried.

I recognize that voice. It's Tori.

"Tori, what happened?", I ask concerned.

"It's Jade. She got kidnapped.", Tori says.

"Kidnapped? Oh no!", I cried.

"Beck wants everyone to meet in front of Hollywood Arts right now. Do you want me to pick you up in 30 minutes?", Tori asks.

"Please?", I ask.

"Sure.", Tori says then hangs up.

"Kayla, Cat's got to go.", I say.

"Okay. It's morning anyway.", she says then falls asleep.

She's a fast sleeper, you know. I open my closet and grab a dress, shoes and a bag. I enter the bathroom. After 10 minutes, I looked at myself in the mirror. I am wearing a pink polka dot dress and ballet flats. I am wearing a pink hair pin to block my hair from my face. I ran downstairs, grabbed a small box of cereal, a tetra pack of milk and candy then ran all the way to Tori's house. When I arrived, Tori was in her car with her mom in the passenger seat.

"Come on Cat.", Tori says patting the seat next to her.

I walked to her car and sat down.

"Any news on Jade yet?", I ask.

"Not yet. It'll be fine.", Tori says.

It was a short ride to school. When we arrived, we saw Beck's RV.

"Bye mom.", Tori says.

"Bye Mrs. Vega.", I say.

Tori and I made our way to Beck's RV.
