Author's Note: -smiles- I had the idea after watching 'Ben 10 vs the Negative 10' last night. The first time I saw it, I didn't really pay attention, but now I was all 'SHOWMEDAEVIDENCEHNOW!' Guess what? There is some slight evidence in the second part, I believe. Also I was kind of mad that Man of Action made Cooper look so...Gah, you all seen Undercover, right? Personally I think they should just make him taller and slice off some hair, and throw him in like that. He could keep the lines. Enough rambling. This is partly inspired by a FannyxChadxRachel (from the Kids Next Door fandom) fanfiction.
Takes place in Original Series cuz I despise the Alien Force episode.

You saved my life.
Cooper put his calculator down, along with the screwdriver and a few other nuts and bolts. Fixing the dropped calculator--he often dropped it quite hardly in his excitement now and then--used to come naturally, but now...focusing was very hard...and he knew that focus was the main point of math and science, his two favourite things in the world. No. Wait. He knew why he couldn't focus. He'd known for days but he'd always denied it. Cooper felt a blast of heat on his face as he smiled to himself. Gwen Tennyson.
She loves me.
What was there not to like about her? She was smart. Pretty. Yes. He looked at the calculator keys. She was very pretty. Heroic too. Of course, with a cousin like Ben Tennyson you had to be. Everything he himself was not.
She loves me not.
He flicked one strand of blond hair over one of his ears, and then Cooper remembered how much all the other kids at school teased him about it. And the day they had a new teacher who thought he was a girl, and the whole class had exploded into uncontrollable fits of laughter. The teacher had been very apologetic about it. Other than that time, he'd never really cared about his hair. Except now. It seemed embarassing for some reason. Did liking someone make you conscious about your looks? Maybe.
She loves me.
His mother thought it was cute. So did his father. But he wasn't so sure about it himself. "I'm sick of it," He thought to himself with conviction. Then Cooper was startled. What had posessed him to be so...very...He didn't know. But he did know he wanted to cut it. Get rid of it. Get rid of this stupid crush that would never be requited. Come on! What would Gwen see in him? What would any girl see in him, for that matter? Just some loser geek...who looked like a girl...
She loves me not.
Cooper dragged open a drawer from his desk and held up a pair of shining scissors to the light. He wanted to get rid of it. Just get over it. He used the finely polished metal desk as his mirror. Snip. Snip. Snip. Snip. Blond strands all over the floor. Eventually his hair reached neck length, and the strange possession let go of him. He let the scissors fall to the floor, on top of the hair, and collapsed into the chair.
She loves me not.
He was going to have to clear up the mess somehow.
She loves me not.
But he couldn't clear up the mess of confusion, tears, curiosity and wonder around his heart.
She loves me not.
She loves me not.
She loves me not.
Or could he?
She loves me not.
He didn't think so.
