I'm hoping I'm the first person ever to think up this stupid idea.
Lindsay swung round in her chair lazily, very bored and... well, very bored.
People started looking at her as she swung round more vigorously, then suddenly stopped, almost mashing her nose against the computer screens (and probably destroying a few brain cells.)
She sighed and rested her head on her arms. She'd finished all her paperwork, but there was still another hour until her shift ended.
The boredom eventually took over her mind so that she started doing crazy things like making faces in the relfection of the computer monitor.
Then suddenly and idea came into her mind and all the boredom went out the window (even though the windows were closed. Must be some kind of ghost boredom from someone else). She remembered that a friend told her about a website that was very good, something about lots of stories to read.
It can't be worse than almost mashing my nose against the computer and making myself have the IQ of a drunk because I destroyed half my brain cells, she thought. But then again, anything could be better than that... she pondered.
Shaking her head, she went on to open the internet and typed in the address. In a few seconds the page loaded up and went to select the category of the story she wanted to read.
Imagine her surprise when she saw 'CSI: NY' in the list.
Hang on... that's us!
She clicked on it and instantly a barrage of stories were loaded onto the screen. Lindsay clicked on one and read it, surprise building up bit by bit the more she read on.
'Montana?! Wow, must be some interesting report,' Danny said, noting the fierce concentration and slight confusion on her face.
He walked in to see what Lindsay was looking at.
'Danny, I think you'd better come see this...' Lindsay said, not aware that he was actually already at her side. Danny tutted and chuckled, shaking his head. But he too soon became absorbed in the story.
Ahem. Some time later...
By now, Danny's jaw was halfway to England, and Lindsay sat there, quite shocked.
'Danny... if our relationship was supposed to be a secret...'
She paused.
'How did 500 million internet geeks find out?' Danny finished, looking at the screen curiously.
As if it was gonna give him some answers!
I thought the first bit was funny, then it went down and a little peak at the end there. But anyway.
