As I wait for school to end with the finals, I wrote this short story after seeing the what-if Link didn't get saved when he attempted to fly at night. Poor guy…

The Reason Why You Don't Fly at Night, Link
Skyloft, Knight's Academy, Link's room…
Link, after waking up from taking a nine hour nap, stretched his muscles and got out of bed. He looked outside and saw that it was nighttime.
"Well, they did say I can't ride my bird at night…Wonder why?" Link said aloud.
He stood there, contemplating as to why the professors told him that. "The other knights get to fly…and I am a knight, right?" Link said, still confused.
Within seconds, he decided to ignore his instructors' teaching. "Ah screw it. I'm gonna fly!" Link said and ran out of his room.
As he ran through the halls, Stritch saw him and said, "What are you doing?"
"I'm gonna fly on my loftwing! And no ones gonna stop me!" Link said.
"Uh…You know you'll die, right?" Stritch asked.
"No I won't," Link said.
Link then left, leaving Stritch confused.
Outside…
Link ran passed Pipit and the older knight stopped him before he could go any further. "Hey, Link! What are you doing out at night?" Pipit asked.
"I'm gonna go fly on my loftwing," Link said.
"Uh…you know loftwings don't fly at night, right?" Pipit asked.
"I'm gonna prove ya wrong!" Link yelled.
"Um…if you die, can I have the rest of your rupees?" Pipit asked.
"No! And no, you can't date Zelda if I die. She has to remain a widow for the rest of her life," Link said.
"Uh, you know you're not married…" Pipit said.
"Shut it…" Link said and walked off.
Pipit then saw that Link was heading for the nearest jump off point. The boy jumped and Pipit yelled, "Link, no!"
As Link fell, he whistled for his bird. Nothing happened.
"Bird? Birdy, where are you? Bird!" Link screamed.
Within seconds, the poor man fell to his death….
The next day, there was a new tombstone in the graveyard. It said, "R.I.P Link. 1986-2011".
As the town of Skyloft gathered around the new grave, the golden goddesses from afar saw what was going on. "He just had to commit suicide," Nayru said.
She looked at Din and said, "Hey, I didn't choose him as a hero!"
The two looked at Farore and she said, "Hey that was Hylia! She chose him!"
"Where is he anyway?" Din asked.
"I'm right here," the now deceased Link said, with a halo over his head.
"Now did you learn your lesson?" Farore asked.
"Um…what is it? Don't jump off a cliff?" Link said.
"No! Follow instructions!" Farore yelled.
"Oh…uh…Can I go back now?" Link asked.
Farore looked at Nayru and she said, "If I send you back and reset time, you won't try to jump off a cliff at night?"
"Yes," Link said, sounding a bit depressed.
Nayru, using her magic, reversed time and, at the same time, revived Link. After Link was revived, he sadly jumped off the cliff, still trying to prove that he can fly his loftwing at night…
Sad, just sad…Oh and I ended my Life in Hyrule City story so…yeah.
