He heard her voice and almost didn't believe it. Was this really her? Word's couldn't leave Michael's lips as he slowly turned, still dripping wet from the rain he hadn't even felt pour onto his skin. There she was, jabbering on and on like usual, saying something about a cell phone. But Michael couldn't listen; he dropped his keys on the floor and walked toward what must have been an illusion, some sort of hallucination that came from how much pain he was in from losing her.

Suddenly, he was mere inches from her. She finally stopped talking. "Michael…you didn't think," but he silenced her. She couldn't be alive. He had seen the fire…

Michael put his hand ever so slowly to Fiona's face. He felt her skin under her trembling hands and placed his forehead on hers.

"Thank god she's alright," he thought and he leaned forward, pulling her into a deep and passionate kiss. When they pulled apart, a few escaped tears mixed in with the rain water that dripped from his face onto her clothes. "Fi…" he tried to say, but his throat.

"Michael, shhh," Fiona said, kissing his face. "I'm right here, I'm okay," she kissed his forehead, his cheeks, his eyelids, and the top of his head, repeating the same thing over and over. As she pressed her lips against his once again, Michael lifted her up and held onto her tight as they moved to his bed. He placed her down gently and continued the kiss. When Michael pulled back, Fiona could clearly see the tears that had begun to swell in his eyes. She lifted her hands and wiped the tears away, whispering. "It'll take more than a fire to get rid of me Michael."

"I didn't know what I was going to do," Michael said honestly, for some reason unable to look her in the eyes. "I thought I… I thought I lost…"

"You didn't lose me Michael, I'm okay, I'm right…" Fi consoled him.

"I love you," he interrupted, his eyes snapping back to hers. Both stared at the other wide-eyed, their hands still moving gently over each other's bodies. "O…I didn't realize it until I thought I'd never see you again…But I love you Fi," and then he was the one interrupted, as Fiona sat up and kissed Michael fiercely, more passionate than they had ever shared before.

"Oh Michael," she said. "I love you too."

Cheesy ending I know, but I wrote this at 2 AM on a coffee high.
