Rikkai smirked as her twin blades Jareth and Senri transformed back into their human forms.

"That makes what? 76?" she asked as the two devoured the souls of the Kishin they had just faced.

"78." Jareth replied.

"We're making good progress, and we should reach Death Weapon Meister Academy by morning." Senri added.

Rikkai sighed. It had been a rather long journey by foot just to reach Death City and now she'd have to walk for another 7 hours at least. She was running on about a half an hour of sleep and she was, quite simply, exhausted. The fight they'd just had hadn't helped that one bit. She pulled her long blue hair back, using a few bobby pins she kept in her pockets to keep her bangs out of her face.

"We'd better get moving then." She muttered.

For a girl, Rikkai had long strides. She was graceful with almost 'perfect' posture, however rather than simply walking, Rikkai had a habit of loping. As the night went by each step grew more and more determined, though her overall pace got slower and slower.

She refused to sleep. She had to get to the DWMA to see him. Of course she'd only recently even started hearing rumors that he was there. But considering that his father was, well… it made sense. She hadn't seen him since they were both little. She wondered how much he had changed.

She giggled as her mind produced an image of what she thought he would look like. No doubt his stripes would still be there.

She yawned loudly and shook away the thought. Hopefully by morning she wouldn't need to conjure a silly mental image. Hopefully by morning, she'd actually get to see the real thing. The real live Death the Kid.
