"Japan won against your team." England commented causally and to be honest he was planning to rub it in America's face. After all the blue eyed Nation had made countless comments and remarks on how France defeated England's team.
"Huh?" America asked in a confused tone and he blinked his eyes.
"You know the World Cup…." England trailed off when he saw that expression on America's face.
"What is the World Cup, England?" America asked calmly as he stared at him with big blue eyes.
"What the hell, America." England commented slowly and he was annoyed for it looks like the whole rubbing it in America's face will not work since it seems like the blue eyed Nation forgot all about the World Cup.
"Seriously, What is the World Cup. Is it like a holy grail or something?" America asked cheerfully and his head was tilted to the left side.
"Unbelievable." England commented to himself and he looked at the blue eyed Nation smiling brightly.
"The name World Cup sounds silly. Heh, you know dudes use a cup to protect their lower area. Some people call it by the whole name which is Athletic Cup, but most just say cup."
"That is completely unrelated to the World Cup." England snapped angrily and his fists were clenched.
"Is it like a cup where everyone in the world can drink from it. That sounds gross." America said to him while making a disgusted expression. "Seriously, I wouldn't want to drink from it since everyone can drink from the cup."
"I'm leaving before I catch your stupidity. Honestly, You forgot all about the World Cup when your team lost against Japan." England stated calmly and he gave America a look. "Of course I shouldn't be that shocked about you forgetting since you are quite ditzy. It figures you would forget about the World Cup."
"Bye, England." America commented cheerfully and he made sure to lock his front door after the green eyed Nation left. The blue eyed Nation sighed heavily, he leaned against his front door, and wrapped his arms around himself.
"I'm a really good actor." America muttered to himself and wiped away the tears that slowly fell from his eyes. "Acting as if I forgot all about the Women's World Cup. Acting as if I don't give a damn about losing to Japan's team."
'I know that a lot of Nation's are going to try and rub it in my face. Along with saying it serves me right for thinking that my team could actually win and it is what I get for getting all excited about the World Cup game.' America thought as he sat on his carpet and back against the door. 'It is best to pretend not to know a thing about the World Cup. After all it wouldn't do for anyone to know that I actually care a lot.'
"I'll eat hamburgers and drink cola. Food is comforting. I'll watch some horror films and hold onto my epic teddy bear." America commented as he wiped away his tears and smiled to himself. "I won't let this loss against Japan's team make me bitter. After all if I do then I'll become like England who dwells on the past. I'll get over it and besides there is always next time. Best to remain positive."
America stood up, he was humming his National Anthem, and decided to sing the words loudly.
