One shot because I can't get the scene where Olivia seems to breakdown when Peter might be infected out of my head.

Cold, emotionless, distant; those were the words that those who did not know her would use to describe Olivia Dunham. Her sister and niece would use words like: stable, loving, caring, responsible and warm. Broyles would describe her as dedicated, relentless, workaholic, committed. Her previous lovers would use all those words depending on how deep the relationship had been. Olivia didn't like using words to describe herself, she had always believed that actions spoke louder than words. She didn't like classifying other's by descriptions either. When she first met Peter she had described him as a pain-in-the-ass as well as a few other, more colorful phrases. Now all that was being challenged.

When the possibility that Peter might be infected with whatever disease had been released dawned on her it was as if someone had removed all air from her lungs. Her stomach knotted to the point she thought she was going to physically be ill. Her usual steel nerves crumbled then and there and it was only through the years of practice that she had been able to mask her true emotions from him. Olivia had to get away, she had to take a moment for herself. If she didn't she would risk the case.

Her sanity was hanging by a thread and she only needed a moment to compose herself. However her moment did nothing to calm her dread, her nerves were still frazzled and the despair that Peter could soon end up like the man on the floor scared the hell out of her! This realization brought a flood of others that had been dammed up in her mind. They flowed quickly and she realized that the main thought, the one that kept repeating itself over and over again, was that she could not do this without Peter. If he died…no she couldn't dwell on that. He would be alright, she would make sure he would be ok.

As she composed herself and walked back to where he was something else dawned on her. The words she would use to describe him were: loyal, caring, protective, mischievous, and loved. Everyone that knew him couldn't help but love him; in their own way. This was one emotion she had to deal with at a later time though. She realized that she might love him more than the big brother way she always thought of him, but right now there was no time to dwell on it. If she was to keep the man who had captured her imagination safe she was going to have to conquer this latest threat.
