One day Harry was later for class. He was running down the hall so fast he didnt see where he was going and ran into someone. Harry looked to see who he bumped into. It was Hermione.
"Um...sorry...I wasn't looking are you okay?" Asked Harry.
"Yes, I'm fine." Said the girl.
"Ok good." Said Harry."
Harry had a feeling that he never had before. A warm feeling inside. Harry had to stop thinking because Snape was over him now.
"For you lazyness, Potter, 50 points from Gryfindor!" Yelld Snape.
"Sorry, sir." Said Harry.
"Sorry isn't good enough! Now get to class!" Roard Snape.
Harry ran to class as fast as he could to get away from Snape. As soon as he got back to class he got yelled at by another teacher. After class was over Harry was walking down the hall when he saw Hermione talking to Ron.
"Thanks!" Yelled Ron as he ran over to Harry.
"Shes the nicest girl I ever saw!" Said Ron. "Look she gave me a whole bag of candy!"
"I ran into her when I was running down the hall. I feel bad." Said Harry.
"Well don't worry she is in Gryfindor so you'll get to talk to her in the common room!" Said Ron.
Ron was right at 8:00 P.M. she was in the common room doing some of her homework. Harry went over to her and said "What homework assiment are you doing?"
"Charms." Said the girl.
"Thats nothing commpared to Snapes." Said Harry.
"I know, that stupid old git gives too much!"
Harry laughed and then smiled. "I like your name, its nice."
"I like yours too!" Said Hermione.
"Really?" Asked Harry.
"Really." Said Hermione.
"Well it was nice talking to you." Said Harry.
"It was nice talking to you too!" Said Hermione.
Months passed and Harry and Hermione became closer and closer friends. It was Christmas day now and and someone was knocking on the boys dorm room door. Harry and Ron were the only two that were left in the room, and Ron was to tired to open it, Harry opend the door. It was Hermione.
"I know Im not supposed to go in there so just take your present now." Said Hermione.
She started to walk away when Harry grabed her arm to stop her.
"Yes?" Asked Hermione.
"You dont want to forget your present, do you?" Said Harry smileing.
"Present, you mean you got me a present?" Asked Hermione.
"Yep!" Said Harry.
"I never get presents." Said Hermione.
"Well todays your lucky day!" Said Harry.
He handed her a little gold box with a smile on his face.
"Merry Christmas!" Exclaimed Harry. Hermione took the little bow off the box then opened it.
"Oh, Harry, its beautiful!" Cried Hermione.
It was a beautiful dimond necklace with a goldon heart in the middle. To Harry's suprise she flung her arms around him and gave him a tight hug. Harry huged her back with a smile on his face. When Hermione stoped huging him she said "you might want to open your present alone."
"Why?" asked Harry.
"It'll be better that way." Said Hermione. "Thats all im telling you."
It was night and everyone was asleep so Harry pulled Hermione's present from under his pillow. It was very heavey and a wierd shape. Harry took the wraping off it and gasped.
"No, it cant be!" He wispered to himself. It was a piece of the Mirror Of Erised. Harry looked into it and saw his parents.
