I'm trying to play around with formatting. How many different ways are there to tell a story? Poetry and prose get boring after a while. Letters, diary entries (overused, but fun), bulletin boards, flyers, scripts, homework; anything goes, you know. Just look at The Year of Secret Assignments. These "write what you like about this person" things can actually show a lot about character- for the person writing AND the person being written about (in this, though, no one's really writing what they like about Al…). Since little kids are more truthful and willing to share their opinions, this is actually a valid way to tell a story…In my opinion.
Alphonse Elric
You're really, really nice and a good friend, but I think it was mean of you to steal Winry's doll at recess. It wasn't really like you (It was kind of funny, though). –Claira
I'm Winry's friend, so I'm mad at her for you. Al, I like you and everything, but that was rude. It was her favorite doll, too. And I know that you were just playing a game, so it was kind of a joke, but it was still MEAN. (And just a tiny bit funny. But don't tell Winry I said that.) –Elizabeth
Al, just so you know, you weren't playing with Winry's doll the right way. You don't throw dolls. But it's okay. Some people just don't know how to play with dolls. I guess you're one of those people. I can teach you, if you want. It's not that hard. –Holly
Sorry for telling Ms. Rilke that you stole the doll (it was true, though). I didn't know that you'd get in so much trouble (well, I kind of did). I'll stand up for you more next time (Maybe). –Nathan
You're nice and a good friend. (1) –Colette
That was really fun at recess, but I'm sorry that you got blamed for everything. You seemed really upset about it, though, so maybe we should steal someone else's stuff next time? Because I know that Winry's your friend (or WAS your friend). –Zach
I'm sorry for telling on you, but I know that Winry wouldn't have. I'm her friend so I have to stand up for her, because she doesn't know how to take care of herself when it comes to bullies. She's too nice for her own good and she doesn't have the sense to get mad at people. Well, she gets mad at Ed, but everyone gets mad at him. You're hard to get mad at, so that's why she didn't tell. But I know better. Don't ever be mean to her again. –Gabriella
It was mean of you to steal Winry's doll. Please don't ever steal my doll, because it's special and I need to keep it safe. My doll actually isn't mine- I borrowed it from Winry. So if you steal my doll, you'll actually be stealing from Winry again. So don't. –Lilli
Al: I'm not mad at you. Please stop apologizing. It's annoying. –Winry
I'm very sorry that I told you to take Winry's doll. I didn't know that you would get in trouble and it would make her cry and I will never, never, ever do it again. –Ed
(1) There's always someone who writes this on everyone's paper. Always.
Now, I have to stop writing crappy fanfiction until NaNoWriMo is over. Bye.
