The Past
(In the past child)
On the planet Tamaran was born Truefire, she had much difficulty with the people of her village, even her own father. He wouldn't let her go any where nor see the other Tamaranian people in the other village called Tama, where most people are not colored. Truefire was from a village called Zerion, where people there are colored. Truefire was told that the Tama were horrible people, but because of Truefire's boldness, curiosity, and mostly clueless and free mind, she wanted to see for herself.
One day Truefire came to her father asking him bout the "other people." The conversation ended in a fight.
(Translated from their language)
"Let me see what the people are like maybe they are not what you think…" resorted the dark skinned Tamaranian.
"NO!" he shot back." Truefire, I care for your safety"
"…but" Truefire said with tears almost in her eyes.
"NO! That's that. My mind is made up, this discussion is over" he said as he turned and walked out of the tipi looking house.
As Truefire leaves out the tipi and walks into clear, green grassland, she finds a boulder and sits on it with her head sitting on top of her knees thinking.
"Why can't I go? Maybe they aren't what father say they are but then maybe… You're not old enough to be alone never!
"Why are you unhappy?" said and unfamiliar voice to Truefire
Truefire gasps. " A Tama!"
Truefire walks towards the golden-skinned Tamaranian curiously. She floats circling her.
"Amazing." Truefire says wih a smile.
"Is there something that fascinates you?" the Tama asks.
"You are very much similar to me, but yet your skin is…different." Truefire says pinching her. Truefire plays with her face pinching her cheek.
Uhm…" the Tama says.
"Oh sorry." Truefire says as she gives a nervous chuckle.
"Why are you unhappy?" asked the Golden skinned girl.
"Oh." Truefire says as she backs up from the Tama. Her eyes slowly looking to the ground as she floats in the air with her head perched up on her knees.
"My father won't let me go see your village's people, he says since you are not color your bad people, but I don't believe this. What's your name and why are you out here away from your village?"
"My name is Starfire, and I'm here because my father, also." Starfire said with a sad face. "I don't understand," Starefire continues. "Yes, we may have a slight difference but we are still the same in more."
Truefire stands on the ground and looks at Starfire smiling. "We're Tamaranians first, and then we are different." Truefire finish putting out her hand.
Starfire is touched by Truefire's words. She looks at her hand and grabs eachother's forearm firmly. "Exactly"
"What is your name what's your name?" she said
"Truefire, my name is Truefire"
"Hey, do you want to play?"
"Sure, TAG you are it!" Starfire says as she runs away"
