Just a little drabble I wrote up in my spare time. It was actually inspired by a friend who told me what would happen if Yusei didn't get to see Jack on time. Anyways enjoy~

I forgive you…
That is all what Yusei wanted to do, to forgive. To forgive Jack for his crimes that he committed to become King. He knew that Jack only wanted to break free from this hell in Satellite. But after the Jack and himself dueled in the Fortune Cup, he realized that Jack felt remorse for what he had done. However before he wasn't able to say much to him afterwards due to Jack becoming injured from receiving the final blast from Stardust Dragon. Jack was taken to the hospital shortly afterwards
And that is why Yusei was headed toward the hospital that Jack was admitted to. From the news reports earlier in the day, Jack had sustained no major damage with the exception of a broken right arm. It also stated that Jack's behavior was rather irrational ever since he arrived there, but Yusei wasn't surprised. Jack had always been that way; he was never completely stable and always made impulsive moves and decisions. He was so well loved and acted like a symbol of Neo Domino when he became the Duel King. To have it taken away from him destroyed his pride and glory. Yusei had no intentions of doing so, in fact he didn't mind Jack being the King. All he wanted was his Stardust Dragon and being able to make amends with Jack.
He was so caught up in his thoughts and worries that he almost ran over a crowd of people gathering in the streets. Some were fleeing the scene in terror; others were calling for emergency crews and loved ones. Yusei parked his D-Wheel on the corner of the street and pushed his way through the thick crowd. He gasped at the sight he saw, and could not believe what his eyes shown him.
The hospital was only partially intact because of a large hole that destroyed the center of it. Many firemen and other emergency crews were dispatched to get patients out of the danger zone. It was in such chaos that nobody paid attention to Yusei, despite being the new Duel King. Yusei could hear a reporter in the distance detailing all that had happened, when she spoke about Jack, Yusei listened in on her report.
"Concerning Jack Atlas, the emergency crews have found some of clothes and belongings inside, however nobody has seen him yet. His doctor informed me that he is too weak to be able to leave on his own. Therefore sadly, its safe to assume that the former King is severely injured, or possibly dead."
Dead…
That hit Yusei like a stone. He cringed and walked slowly toward his D-Wheel. As he sped off toward Saiga's house, the guilt and anguish of not being able to heal his relationship with Jack.
When he arrived, he looked up at the night sky. It was a bright full moon even visible through the flashy lights of Neo Domino. A full moon hadn't occurred since he left Satellite. He remembered that Jack often gazed at the moon back at Satellite. And now he was flooded with memories of them together.
I forgive you.
Were the three words that Jack would never hear.
