Bella rested her head against her bed. How long had she been sitting here? Drawing her eyes toward the door, she prayed Edward would somehow appear.
Curling her fingers protectively around the package, she pulled out a peppermint stick. Shakily raising her hand to her mouth, she felt sickness rise within her. How long she could stand by herself, without her fanged love, she could never tell.
He'd been gone for weeks now.
He'd promised to come back soon.
Where was he?
She gingerly stroked the covers of her bed, straightening the crinkles. Sighing deeply, she arose unsteadily. Maybe Edward would be back tomorrow.
Staring at the clock, the numbers finally came into realization. 12:43 p.m... Bringing a hand to her forehead, She tried to stimulate the painful ache of my head by pressing my temples. I looked into the darkness outside. "Stupid shiny volvo owner..."

Edward closed his eyes. Tomorrow was the perfect time to go back. Bella was becoming crazed and apparently calling him some choice names. He picked up the keys from the table.
"Ah, going back to our favorite mortal?" Alice smiled.
He nodded. "Yeah, she's about to go nuts."
"Figured so," she added.
He walked out into the darkness, preparing for the long drive back to Forks.
Edward brushed coppery hair from his darkening golden eyes.
His pale face seemed to glow in the moonlight.
Sparkle in the daytime, glow in the night. How ironic.
Pulling open the car's door, he heard Alice pile into her car as well.
"Let's go, shall we?"
The slam of a car door was her reply.
---
Bella couldn't sleep. Hours had passed, she was sure.
Rolling her head towards the door, she sighed again. Grabbing a fistful of blanket, she cursed Edward for paining her so. She collected enough strength to stand and pace her room.
Why in the world did he want to test her like this? Why did he have to go to the Volturri again?
"Business," she scoffed quietly.
Retiring to her bed, she pulled the covers over her head, the Linkin Park CD on full blast, echoing softly around the room. The ear buds strained her sleep into an embrace of darkness.
"Goodnight Edward." she whispered as she closed her eyes for the night.

Note from Author:
Please tell me what you think!
Alice, Edward and Bella (and the books Twilight and New Moon) belong to Stephenie Meyer. Not me. Unfortunately.
Tell me if I could improve this a bit, and I hope I spelled everything right (no typos) because I'm on WordPad. It's better than NotePad, but you get my point.
Hope you liked it!
