I've admired you since the day we met.

Tsubasa Hiiragi, the future of Ayanagi Academy. The moment I laid my eyes on you I knew you would be someone worth following. Calm, cool, and collected. The exact opposite of me. I've always looked up to you and admired your leadership. You were too talented to ignore. You held yourself with such dignity and elegance that people could not help but be caught up in that aura of yours.

You're too bright and dazzling.

This admiration continued for years and even after graduation. We moved on to college going our separate ways. You to be groomed to be the future head of the school and I to hopefully make a name for myself in the music industry.

Eventually, it became too much. It's a cruel world out there. My father had always told me that I'm wasting my time and I will never be able to become a big star. Guess he was right.

I moved farther and farther away from you.

After one year in a well known arts college, I dropped out of my music major and transfered to a business school where I pursued a major in business management. It was hard. For someone who came from an arts school, business was definitely very challenging. I hated it and there were times I really just wanted to quit and stay locked up in my room.

You continued to move forward.

Seeing your name in the news was a pleasant surprise. You had just won a very prestigious award for Ayanagi Academy. A great honour. Once again, I could not catch up to you. Heck, I even switched lanes and went off in a completely different direction.

You have probably forgotten about me.

Seven years later, we crossed paths again one busy Monday morning. You were getting flowers and I was running the shop. You didn't recognise me but that was fine. I didn't want to be seen like this by you anyway. However, once realisation dawned upon you, you looked at me astonishingly enquiring about what I'm doing here. You frowned, not satisfied with my answer but you didn't press on. Just as you had arrived, you left in hurry. I pushed down that glimmer of hope that I might ever see you again.

It's no use.

To you, I would probably be some random acquaintance you met in high school. But to me, you will always be a crush that became too deep, that went on for too long and showed no signs of going away. And today, just seeing you made the feelings come back in full force. You'll never know and I'll never tell but-

I love you.

Author's note: I wanted to write a happy story but all this angst happened. I'm so sad oh my gosh.

Why a florist shop? I thought maybe because he wanted to forget and start over a new leaf he might want to try something new. Flower arranging apparently solves anger issues and can be pretty soothing to the mind as well.

Hope you enjoyed the story =D

Lemme know what you think and thank you for reading!
