"Okay, let's try it again. You did well last time, only lost a few eyelashes," Arthur Weasley said, coaching his only daughter how to apparate. Ginny sighed, getting frustrated at herself. She was usually pretty good at these kind of things. She wasn't necessarily doing badly, but even a few lost eyelashes would be considered a fail when it came to getting her Apparition Exam.

"I'm doing everything that I'm supposed to do. Destination, Determination, Deliberation. My room, beyond determined, and I deliberately want to go there." Ginny pushed her hair back into a tie and bit her lip, concentrating.

"Don't overthink things, Gin, and don't worry if you don't pass. Your mom had to take the test three times...er...don't tell her I told you that," Arthur glanced around, making sure his wife wasn't listening in. She was probably up in her room, which was usual for her, ever since the Battle of Hogwarts...
Ginny nodded. She took a deep breath, thought of her destination, and turned on the spot.

A force greater than she had ever felt before sucked her into a whirlwind. Her ears felt like they needed to pop and her eyes bulged a bit. She spun round and round, and then, after what seemed like forever, she landed with a thunk. Looking around, she noticed that she wasn't in her own room, but she smiled, knowing she had succeeded.

"Gi-Ginny? I thought your father said that you were trying to apparate into your room? It's okay, you will go where you wanted to eventually," Mrs. Weasley said to her daughter, a look of shock on her face that was no doubt from the loud crash.

"I did go where I wanted. I changed my mind downstairs and decided to go where I might be needed..." Ginny bit her lip again, and then went to her mom's bed and laid down next to her. Mrs. Weasley smiled, tears filling her eyes as she wrapped her arms around her daughter.

Destination, Determination, Deliberation. Anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
