Hi hi! -waves at everyone- Second fanfic -w- Now, I wanted to do a songfic, but decided to not, but I keep the title. The title comes from the song by Cascada, What Hurts the Most. My second one-shot, and after this maybe I'll do a multi-chapter story.

Again, one sided fanfic. Peach/Roy, my favorite couple, slightly! 8D

Finally, and sadly, the fateful day came. The day she feared, the day she wanted to be erased, the day which will make her sad for a long time. The day when she will see her beloved one walk away.

Today was the day when the smashers who were decided to be taken out, also known as Mewtwo, Young Link, Pichu, and Roy, were going to leave the Smash Manor forever. Of course, she would miss them all, because all of them were their friends, but she was going to miss one specially...

Roy.

The red haired lord who came from a far away land known as Pherae. Since he came, she tried her best to be able to be his friend, and gladly, she got that. You could always see them together laughing, talking, reading...She and him became really good friends in matter of days. But there was something...

There was something about Roy...That made princess Peach Toadstool change her thoughts on him.

One day, she finally realized that. She finally noticed the spark of the new feeling that was growing in her mind, and in her heart. The something that made her change her thoughts completely on Roy...

Love.

Was she ready to face it? Was she ready to love? She didn't know...but she knew that it wasn't a crush, it was love, love and love only.

She tried so many times to tell him, but right when she was about to, she always remembered something that changed her mind and made her shy. What if he didn't return her feelings? What would the people will say when they know she loves the one who she isn't supposed to love? What if their friendship ends there...and doesn't come back? So many questions stopped her, and sadly, the destiny played a bad card on her, and was ready to take Roy away.

They were all saying goodbye. Peach was apart in a corner. She didn't want to say goodbye, she was scared, she was sad. But, the prince of Pherae spotted her, and ran to say goodbye to one of his most dear friends, Princess Peach

"Hey, Peach!" he called out, which made Peach turn his way, her eyes sad, but her mouth saying otherwise

"Lord Roy" she formally replied, smiling a little "It seems...this is it"

Sadly sighed the red head, as he looked at her "Yeah..." he trailed off.

Both remained silent. Both didn't know what to say, they were just looking down their feets.

"Well...bye..." Roy spoke, breaking the silence. He turned around, and started to walk off, until...

"Hey!" she called out. She became shy the moment he turned back, but she got courage and spoke "I'll...I'll miss you Roy. And...I... will write you!" she blused a little, but managed to continue "And if I can, I will visit you in Pherae! I...I promise"

He smiled. He walked over to her, and gently kissed the princess's forehead, smiling "I promise to you I will write back. I'll miss you too"

Time to go, and so he left. What hurted the most was not that she couldn't tell him her feelings. She could write to him, and keep in contact. What hurted the most was seeing him walk away. She could keep in contact, she could visit him...but it hurted to see him leave

I'm sorry Peach was majorly OOCed DX I can't make a good Peach. It's just that I imagine Peach being shy when she is in love, but I'll work on the OOCness I gave her, and will make a better Peach for the next time!
