Chapter I – Prologue
My name is Juliet. I am 16 years old and I am a sophomore at John Adams High School in Arlington, Virginia. So, let me introduce you my school, because that's all that's interesting about my life, although not in a good way. See, there are three types of people in high school. Popular kids, relatively normal people and then there are invisible people. Popular kids are subdivided into athletes and cheerleaders. And they are living hell on earth. For example, Kathy Clark, the head cheerio once told me that it's illegal for me to walk into school, because my face can make barf a girl with zero gag reflex. The normal people. Normal is equivalent for boring, although they don't want to do anything with kids in the basement either. And – invisible people. Well, kind of. You are invisible when you need a partner for lab or help with homeworks. But that doesn't stop popular kids from laughing at you. And you can guess in which group I am. Yep, that's right.
So even though I am probably the most unpopular person at this school, I can still dream. And my dream is the one and only Adam Gibson. Okay, he doesn't even know that I exist. But hello, haven't you seen Awkward or any american teenage TV show? Eventually, he will notice me, we will start dating and become „it" couple. So, that was my fantasy. But, of course, things are always different than our dreams, imagination or hopes. And in the worst way.
