A/N: My second twilight fic. A present for one of my best friends' Izi, who I love a whole damn bunch. Thanks for the support, girl!

You belong with me

He had always been a true friend, there until the end – whenever something was amiss, or when Bella was feeling off, he would find a way to make her smile. He loved her smile. He loved everything about her, really. She was rather plain, but that made her all the more special to him. She wasn't like the so-called 'pretty' girls, but she was her own person. Not caring about others, or thinking about them… originality.

And she belonged with him. She didn't know it yet, because of that bloodsucker, but she would know soon.

As he neared her house, he heard them. The bloodsucker was yelling at her about something that she must've said. Most likely Bella was trying to be funny, and the idiot didn't get it. He didn't get her humour like he, Jacob Black, did.

The foul-smelling thing left. Jacob made his way to her room. Bella was sitting on her bed, clutching her legs.

"Hey." He grinned a doggy grin. He noticed it immediately, her whole being lit up. He would bet anything that the moron that just left never succeeded in that.

He'd known her her whole life – they used to play together, after all. He didn't know her like Jacob did.

That Bella had remained his friend after finding about everything; his wolfish tendencies, his arrogance… it astounded him, truly.

But Cullen wore designer labels; he wore as little clothing as possible. He grimaced, thinking of how utterly wrong that sounded. Cullen had money – something that he that was Jacob somewhat lacked.

He wished for the day that she would snap awake, seeing that he was her love! That the love she's been looking for was under her nose!

Why couldn't she see that he was the only one that understood her? That she ultimately belonged to him?

"You okay?" He asked. She nodded slowly.

"Yeah." A frown creased between her eyes.

"Sure?"

"Yeah." The frown disappeared.

They talked for a while, about everything and nothing. He found that she smiled a lot more, that she laughed. He liked her laugh. Her smile lighted him up – giving him a reason to make her laugh. He was the one she ran to when the vampire left. When she was so down he wouldn't be surprised to find cuts on her hands and wrists. Yet, she went to him. She smiled when he was there – she laughed at all of his jokes, even when they were lame.

Couldn't she saw that she belonged with him?

He knew her favourite things. Songs, books, colour… how it shifted constantly, and how afraid she was of dying. He was her confidante.

Why in the name of everything couldn't she see that he belong to her? Not with, to. Screw the coldblooded piece of marble. He was warm, he had a heartbeat…

Before he knew it their faces were mere inches apart. Her eyes were questioning him, but not really expecting an answer. She wouldn't stop him, he was certain.

He closed the remaining distance and pressed his lips to hers. He couldn't even remember sitting down on her bed, or how his arms had snaked around her waist…

All he cared about was the soft lips that were on his, that she wasn't biting him, or punching him, or pushing him away. Her eyes were closed. What did that mean? Should he close his too?

He did, it felt right. He drew her closer, she melted to his touch. His grip sent out the obvious message.

You belong with me.

That vampire was history, Jacob knew.

. . .

A/N: Inspired by Izi and her song 'You belong with me' by Taylor Swift. As I said, completely out of the norm for me – both twilight and Taylor Swift in one?

I don't have anything against either, I quite enjoy Swift's music, I'm just into dark rock more.

Pleasse review!
