Will the Watcher.
He was no longer Will Stanton, or the Sign-Seeker. He was the Sign-Keeper and the Watcher. But the part of his job people forgot about was The Wait. It wasn't exactly in the job description, but it was implied. Unfortunately for Will. Always waiting, always watching. For the end.
The end that would bring the downfall of the Dark and the end of his watching. His waiting. And it would come.
He would get to see Merriman again. And that was all that sustained him through the last watch.
It was always darkest before dawn.
