Annabeth held the new born child in her arms. Percy sat beside her, while Hermes sat in the waiting room. The newborn had blue eyes as bright as the ocean, and hair as blonde as the sun. Percy cut the umbilical cord and the nurse wiped the blood off of its body. The couple cooed to their new child and kissed his face. "What is the baby's name?" The nurse smiled. Percy smiled back and ruffled the baby's tuffs of hair. "We're going to go with Lucas."

Percy came out of the delivery room holding the baby for his family and friends to see. Annabeth would be staying in the hospital for a couple of days, since the birth took a bit of a toll on her, but she would be perfectly fine otherwise. She kissed her baby goodbye. He began to whimper being pulled away from his mother, but soon found comfort in his father's arms. He yawned and fell asleep. Percy approached Hermes, Thalia, and Grover, who were reading the comics section in the newspaper. Hermes instantly knew that this baby was a reincarnation of his once lost son, and asked Percy desperately if he could hold him. Everyone seemed eager to hold the child. Luke seemed interested in Grover's shoes and tried to pull them off, and pouted when he didn't get them. "Hey, don't give me that face." Grover chuckled. "I think you're smart enough to know what's under my shoes, fella." Thalia looked down upon the now defenseless Luke Castellan. She was in awe at his innocence and sweetness. She cradled his head and sang to him, he seemed to enjoy her company and rested himself on her chest. She smiled and returned him to his new father. "Let's hope he doesn't remember anything of his past life." Percy said. "I'll pray to the gods every day if I have to, just to give this little guy another chance.
