Link was asleep in his wooden bed having a terrible dream. He has been having this same dream over and over again every night. In his dream link was standing in front of a castle. It was raining and he saw a tall man on a black horse. It was dark and he couldn't see where he was. The man raised his hand and shot a big ball of dark matter at link. Right when all that was happening, a bright blue glowing fairy flew into the room. She realized link was still asleep. "Aww how cute WAKE UP!" navi screamed. "HOLY" link said as he fell to the floor with a loud bam. "Whoa what happened?" link said as he got up from the floor. Navi was getting tired of this nonsense and got straight to the point. "Hey you" she said. Link looked at her and pointed at himself with a confused look on his face and said "me?" Navi said "yeah you, I gotta take you to the great deku tree I don't know why but he summoned you for some reason, now let's go".
Link followed navi outside where he saw a young girl running towards his little treehouse. "Hey link" she said. "Oh hey sariAHH" link couldn't finish his sentence because navi started to drag him towards the great deku tree. Link turned around and said to saria "Sorry saria I'll talk to you later!"
Link was at the entrance now but couldn't get through because Mido was blocking the way. Mido is an annoying brat who just loves to mess with Link in every way possible. "Link hey what brings you here" Mido said as he smiled a devilish smile. Link sighed and said "hey Mido I gotta go see the great deku tree can you please move?" Mido made a thinking pose and said "hmmm let me think… NAH! HA HA HA!" Mido started to laugh uncontrollably but suddenly stopped and said "tell you what if you could get a sword and a shield I'll let you pass" Link was very annoyed by this but then turned around and started to walk off on a mini quest to get a sword and shield.
Link looked everywhere for a sword but couldn't find one, so he started looking for a shield instead. Link walked into the only store in the forest and saw a small deku shield on the shelf. He quickly took the shield and said "hicaniborrowthishieldplz? K, thanks" as he ran out the door. "Alright now I just need a sword" link said as he looked around the small village and saw a hole on the wall. He walked up to the hole and saw that he could crawl through it. So he crawled through the hole and found a small room with two hallways going left and right. Link stood there thinking witch way he should go when suddenly a huge boulder came rolling from the left passageway. Link stared wide-eyed at the rock and started to run the other way.
As link was running he saw another room. He ran inside as the boulder just barely missed him. Link turned around and saw a big chest on a stump. He walked up to the chest and opened it. He picked up its contents and raised it up high as the you-just-got-an-item tune played. Navi rolled her eyes at link as he walked out of the room and crawled through the small hole once more.
Link went back to where Mido was standing and showed him the sword and shield and said "will you let me past now?" Mido did the thinking pose again and said" let me think…..NA-" Mido suddenly stopped as he saw link point the sword at his neck. "What was that I didn't quite hear you" link said with a devilish smile. Mido looked at the sword wide-eyed and said "I s-said you can p-pass now" link put away the sword and shield as he walked past Mido. Link approached the great deku tree and stood wide-eyed.
