warning: insanely out of character Gaara
sj: this was originally the beginnings of a a long one shot, but I never got around to finishing it. I migh or might not continue this, but I thought I might as well post up what I have up. (and by the way, for those of you who read my other fics, this is where Kismet spawned from)
Double Date of Doom.
Their double date is finally coming to an end. They're currently seated on the window side of a small cafe. Gaara takes a sip of his black coffee and stares openly at Neji who is currently seated in front of the red head and glaring daggers at the blond boy across from the long haired boy. Naruto, on the other hand, does not notice Nejis death glares and gawks in disbelief at the small girl in front of him. Seated across from Gaara and next to Neji sat a smirking Hanabi. They wanted to forget how this even got started. All but Hanabi, of course, because she was clearly amused at the events that unfolded in front of her today.
It was partially everyones fault, really (everyone minus Hanabi, she was just dragged along). Gaara and Naruto had mentally fought over who started this whole mess. Neji had brought Hanabi. Neji liked Naruto. Neji misunderstood Naruto when he asked for an outing. Naruto didn't explain thoroughly that it was a double date. Naruto had told Gaara that he was going to set Gaara up with the boy he liked. Gaara had told Naruto that he happened to like Neji. Naruto bugged Gaara to tell him who he liked. Gaara had blushed when Naruto asked him the question. Naruto had asked the question.
Gaara had almost mentally decided at it was Naruto's fault, but the blond had mentally defended himself.
"NEJI HAS LONG HAIR!" Naruto mentally shouted. Gaara pondered on this for a moment.
Gaara liked long hair.
For once, Gaara agrees with Naruto.
It was, indeed, Neji's fault.
The older boy had long hair. Said boy's long hair had seduced young, innocent Gaara. Young, innocent, and in love Gaara had blushed when Naruto accused him of liking someone. Blushing Gaara and answered "Neji," when accusing Naruto had asked him who. Accusing Naruto had laughed and told him that he would set up blushing Gaara with long haired Neji. Blushing Gaara had not denied. Blushing Gaara had asked for a double date because long haired Neji made him shy. Laughing Naruto had agreed. Laughing Naruto had asked out long haired Neji. Laughing Naruto had forgotten to tell long haired Neji about blushing Gaara. Long haired Neji liked laughing Naruto. Long haired Neji had agreed. Liked Naruto told long haired Neji to bring a friend. Liked Naruto left. Long haired Neji was confused. Long haired Neji had to babysit.
Hanabi was amused.
