Inuyasha: The Bridge to Forever
The wind howled across the playground; the rickety swingset seemed to shiver in response. Inuyasha took a deep breath and sheathed his sword. It was now or never.
"Inuyasha! Unfreeze me!" yelled the boy with curly golden hair. The game was freezetag and Inuyasha was a little boy. He had a crush on the new student to school, Kagome. He knew that if he didn't perform well in this particular game, he was never going to win his heart's affections successfully.
"I'm coming for you. I wanna unfreeze you." He shouted, puffing out his tough little chest. His training was already paying off when interacting with his classmates on the playground. On tests and books and homework…? Well, that was an entirely new story. Inu jumped high into the air and ran across the monkey bars without showing signs of discomfort. It was easy. He flew down and unfroze the curly haired child.
"My Goodness! You're the finest, my friend!" the boy gushed emotion.
"Yeah, tell that to my mom. She's trying to ground me, for Pete's sake." Replied the always cool Inuyasha. Just then, Kagome came walking onto the playground. Kagome had the most incredible hair. Inuyasha wanted to play in that great mane of hair and tussle it with playful aggression. We'll see if it happens…
A Little Later
Inuyasha hoped that Kagome had seen his good antics from earlier. He tried to catch Kagome's eye, but it was difficult. He knew that he'd have to resort to some of his patented samurai moves. He did a quick smoke bomb and shot a dart at the floor near Kagome's delicate foot. The dart had a note attached to it. Picking it up, Kagome read the message:
"Come to my lunch table,
please take a seat,
it's you,
it's you,
I want
to meet."
Kagome smiled at the letter. It was charming enough to work. Oh Yeah. There would be a meeting in the cafeteria all right. It would NOT be about love. Kagome smiled once more.
Inuyasha flashed a lippy grin when Kagome sat down across from him. "Wish to discuss matters of the heart, or do we have to play freeze tag once again? I'll unfreeze your heart, can't you see? Oh my dear, it's nothing to me," Inuyasha charmed. Kagome stopped him mid-sentence.
"I have more important business to attend to. How would you like to follow this treasure map that my stepmom lended me?" Inuyasha gulped and nodded with very wide eyes. Kagome continued, "Good, then let's follow this map. The first stop is a little bridge near the end of our town. You do this job with me and who knows? You just might get my hole after all…"
