This is not a story, this is a bit of a rant that could turn out to be a lot more than I want it to be! SO please bear that in mind before criticising. I have had my opinion on this subject disrespected more than once and even though I'm not to bothered about it it does get on my nerves!

I grew up watching and I feel strongly about Kathryn Janeway and her actress Kate Mulgrew. Janeway was flawed in quite a few ways but I think that's what made her a good leader, she didn't always want to admit when she was wrong but she didn't always make bad choices. And as to her relationship with Chakotay I think that it should have been explored more, it started in 'Resolutions' and I think that it should have been explored because it wouldn't be like she was 'whoring' herself around, she had the holograms but that never went that far! And it never did with Kashyk either. I think I have a love/hate relationship with that episode because I love how Janeway and the crew outwit Kashyk at the end, because he definitely thought that he had won that one! Though I did think that Kashyk and Janeway would have had a relationship if he hadn't betrayed her like he did. Toward the end of the whole Voyager series I thought (Especially when we see Admiral Janeway in 'Endgame') that there would have been some form of romance between the command team. I did think that the Admiral was going to tell Kathryn that her and Chakotay had ended up getting together after they'd got home, or even before that as the Admiral's journey back to Earth was a lot longer then Captain Janeway's!

There has been a lot that I have read about saying that 'Picard should have been promoted to Admiral before Janeway was.' And I don't want to offend anyone but Janeway deserved that promotion! Picard may have done all that stuff in the films, but he and his crew never got flung to the far side of the galaxy did they? No they didn't and I do believe that Kathryn was more suited to being an Admiral than Picard, mainly because she had an edge to her, and she made mistakes that she rectified, and she got one thing done that mattered the most to the whole of the Voyager crew. She got them home. Though saying all that I would like to see a friendship develop between Janeway and Picard just because they would have contrasting views on half of the things they would talk about and then half they would agree with each other on.

Sisko was in my eye not the best Captain, if I had to list them in order of 1.-5. 1 being the best and 5 being the worst I would have to place him at number 5. Just because as I said when talking about Picard, Sisko never got flung to the other side of the galaxy! Its the same with Archer in my eye too, I never could really concentrate on what he was all about and I never could get into watching the newest series of Star Trek, I think that took it a little too far for me, the uniform's didn't fit right in my mind either I liked the VOY/DS9 uniform best, though I am inclined to love the TOS uniform! But one thing I absolutely detest is the take on the original uniform in the new movie! Doesn't work for me at all and I think they should have stuck with what they already had in the uniform department.

This might get elaborated on at some point and I think sometime soon I'll add a section about Q! He always had a part to play in Trek and his relationship with Kathryn was one that I grew quite fond of.
